"The piece titled “Fireball” alludes to the different aspects of my cultural identity such as the bag of tortillas, bottle of Jarritos (which is a Mexican soda), cans of Coca Cola, and the bottle of Fireball. Many of the items have iconic imagery that is recognizable on its own but takes on a new context when placed together. Using everyday scenes and objects in my artwork reflects my thoughts on different aspects of cultural and social identity while also being recognizable and allowing the viewer to engage as well."
