In Greenland's frigid high arctic around the settlement of Savissivik, icebergs flow into Baffin Bay. One would be foolish to try to pass through this blue archway as you never know when the iceberg might split or turn.

Puerta de Alcalá was one of the five gates in Madrid city walls. This neoclassical gate was completed in 1778, replacing an older one from the XVI c. Today, the walls are long gone and the gate is in the middle of a busy roundabout of Plaza de la Independencia. It looks good with the clouds, though.

The moment this archway presented itself, it reminded me of the rock group ELO and a song titled, "In the hall of the mountain King." I guess it was the arches that had me reminiscing, so further examination was necessary. A few shots later and each was close but left me unsatisfied. What was missing was a person. When an official looking gent showed up, it helped the shot along and completed the idea.
