Otto asks Pete as Pete bends down and says "Have at it!" LOL

No snow here yet. This is an archive shot :-)

Deep dive into the archives of 2013, Tecopa, CA

I wish I could have seen this before people messed it all up. I've seen pictures that make this look like crap and I know that they are a poor imitation of the real thing.

From the archives.

From the archives. I don't have this flower any more and if I did it would have been much wetter today. It also wouldn't be blooming yet but you get the picture....

Sunset from the archives

From the archives

From the archives, I'm still waiting for warm weather to get to this place.

Johnson's Shutins State Park from the archives.

That's how that day went out.

From the archives and the playground at home.

Goldfinch grazing on Thistle at George Washington Carver National Monument. From the archives.

Fret not! It may be a hazy memory, but spring will be here soon enough.

Butterfly on Bee Balm from a walk on the prairie near home.

The next one can't get here soon enough for me....

AKA Sunset with sound effects.

.... well excluding road maintenance equipment that is.

From the archives. It's still in bloom. That's one of the great things about Orchids, the flowers last for months as long as I don't forget to water them....

Praying Mantis hanging around on Neon Sedum from the archives.

From deep in the archives.

Getting close to the end of this one.

A wet one on a guess.

>>> ARCHIVE DIVING AGAIN, UNDER THE PRETENSE OF DATA RESTRUCTURE, ET AL. BUT I WAS TRYING TO FIND BETTER WAYS TO EXTRACT FRAMES FROM LO-FI ARCHIVES, AND IN LOOKING THROUGH RANDOM SAMPLES, TEND TO FIND THESE [MILDLY] MORE IDIOSYNCHRATIC EVENTS CAPTURE MY ATTENTION MORE... THAN OTHERS. PROST. 8^)

And from the archives.

That shoot was a LOT of fun!

Yeah, we're not there yet. I'm ready though....

True friendship multiplies the good in life and divides its evils. Strive to have friends, for life without friends is like life on a desert island... to find one real friend in a lifetime is good fortune; to keep him is a blessing.

Looking west from my deck last summer.

Very likely a rerun too. I need to get out with my camera more.

They're blooming again now, I just haven't shot them again.

IYKYK.

Norther Flicker (I think) from some random walk in the woods.

From the archives and probably a rerun too. Hey, if the TV networks can and get paid for it I surely can for free....

Have you ever noticed that really intense red seems to jump right off the screen, at least until you post it on Facebook?

Another sunset from the archives.

Wisteria blooms just starting to open. From the archives.

I tried to shoot something today but my bloody cat kept knocking stuff down faster than I could set it up. I gave up before he managed to destroy something expensive....

Even if these things weren't so pretty I would like them just for the fact that they eat mosquitos.

Practice day photo pass.

Of future beauty.

In the interest of making Facebook's image handling software look bad I have decided to upload something really red.

Archive diving from weekend at home last summer.

One pelican shot through the window of a running car.

From warmer times.

April 2nd and we are under a winter weather advisory. Gotta love living in the bloody frozen northern wasteland......

From the archives.

Spring can't come soon enough for me.

Had I only known....

Nevermore.....

From my last trip to Yellowstone.

Black Raven on white Travertine. That's almost as challenging as shooting a crow on snow. Not as cold though....

The first decent sunset after I came home to stay last year.

Shooting that was a lot more fun than running my snowblower and shovel today.

For some reason going out in snow deeper than my boots doesn't appeal to me very much.
