The Mártires district in Lisbon is rich in history and is home to notable landmarks such as the Basílica de Nossa Senhora dos Mártires, which was built after the reconquest in 1147, and the Teatro Nacional de São Carlos, an 18th-century opera house inspired by Milan’s La Scala. Other historic sites, including the Convento de São Francisco da Cidade and the Convento da Boa Hora, illustrate how the area has evolved over the centuries.

During my exploration, I focused on capturing the district in an aesthetically appealing way, documenting its steep streets, tram tracks, and historic facades in the most flattering light possible.

This photo captures a magical riverside walk in one of Spain’s most artistic and modern cities. From the world-famous Guggenheim Museum designed by Frank Gehry to the graceful Zubizuri Bridge by Santiago Calatrava, every step feels like walking through an open-air gallery. Reflections, lights, sculptures, and architecture make Bilbao shine after dark. 🌃✨
