Cabourg est une ville normande située entre Caen et Deauville, elle fait partie de la Côte Fleurie. La ville est située en bord de mer et en bord de la Dives. Elle se situe aux portes du pays d'Auge.

En el año de 1205, Alfonso IX de León otorgó un fuero a Laguna de Negrillos y su alfoz de 13 aldeas ,en el cual se hablaba de la existencia de un castillo. Por este motivo, se puede decir que el castillo de la villa data del siglo XIII, aunque lo que vemos actualmente es la reconstrucción hecha por Don Diego Fernández de Quiñones y Doña María de Toledo, padres de Don Suero de Quiñones, que la usaban como residencia temporal.
La fortaleza poseía adarves, saeteras, torres de flanqueo, letrinas, varios cubos y una Torre del Homenaje que destaca por su rectitud con base cuadrangular, cinco plantas de altitud y almenas en la parte superior, puertas de arco agudo y ventanas de arco redondo.
Actualmente el castillo es de propiedad municipal, no tiene uso particular y la entrada está totalmente libre a todos los visitantes.
The Church of the Annunciation of the Holy Virgin is the Orthodox cathedral of Kharkov city. First church with this name, with wooden belfry was built in 1655. In 1789 the erecting of new stone church began. It has been built in early classicism style. As flock multiplied with a growth of city in 1888 it was considered to erect a new much greater church aside of active one. It was intended to serve as main church of Kharkov city, i.e. as cathedral. Cathedral's project has been designed by architect of Kharkov Technology Institute prof Michail I. Lovtsoff. It was styled in quazi-Bizantyne style which was actually in a great vogue in Russia. The huge 300-feet belfry has been designed in quazi-Gothic style. The total price of building exceeded 400000 golden roubles. 7 mlns of bricks have been expended. The church was consecrated in 1901. Now it is the centre of Kharkov Diocese.
Modern architects tells that this kind of style is "eclecticizm". I know that "eclecticizm" is a sort of obscenity in architecture, it meens something ugly and awful. But I'm definitely not a specialist ina branch of arcitecture. And for my non-educated point of view this cathedral is looking nice and slim, even despite it's monstruos dimensions

This past weekend I was in San Diego for a quick trip and I managed to squeeze in one night for photography. I had been meaning to re-capture the skyline since I only have one panorama of it and that was from quite a few years back when I had my first DSLR and was just getting into it. I think I've improved quite a bit since then (not to mention I have better equipment now as well), and was excited to try again.
My first image is from further west (and a bit more north) than this one, from near Humphrey's on Shelter Island. This one is from Coronado, from a little beach near where the ferry lands. I really liked this spot, because it puts you much closer to the buildings, and it also allows for some fairly interesting wide-angle shots with some beach/rocks in the foreground and the skyline in the distance; I may post one of those shots later.
This is a 3-image stitch, with quite a bit of overlap and cropped to a 2:1 ratio. Stitched using PTGui and converted to monochrome using Silver Efex in CS4.
