Just playing around with photo filters in Photoshop. This is the side of a building at the York University in Toronto. I rotated it to get this perspective.
Cragside is a country house near the town of Rothbury in Northumberland, England. It was the first house in the world to be lit using hydroelectric power. Built into a rocky hillside above a forest garden of just under 1,000 acres, it was the country home of armaments manufacturer, Lord Armstrong, and has been in the care of the National Trust since 1977. The property was opened to the public in 1979.
Architecture – Modern
This is another collection of buildings (some as photographed), glass panels, abstract shapes formed from buildings. Most are in London, although they could be any city. I have not named any building, nor have attempted to find Architects or Designers. Some I have just altered things to my own taste, nothing is sacrosanct, nothing lasts for ever, new ideas quickly become old as will these images be the moment I post them. Please enjoy.
View through a beautiful concrete screen I saw today.. Bangaloreans in my contact list - any guesses on the place ??

Roof structure of the 4th Street Arcade in Cleveland, Ohio. The building was designed by Eisenmann and Smith and modeled after the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele in Milan, Italy. Financed and built in 1890 by John D Rockefeller, Louis Severance, Marcus Hanna, et al.
We went back for another visit today. I love this barn with the Grand Tetons in the background! Often there are buffalo in front, today they were back behind the barn. Our last visit here was in the spring. It is much greener this time!

Gweek (Cornish for forest village) is at the head of navigation of the Helford River, about three miles east of Helston in the west of Cornwall. It has been a port since Roman times and was a thriving port in the Tudor period with its own Customs House. During the mining boom, a tin-smelting blowing house operated at the quayside. In 1848 it was reported that: "The pilchard-fishery is carried on extensively, 200 boats being employed in taking the fish, which are cured in the various creeks and coves within the limits of the port. In addition to the fishery, the chief trade consists in the exportation of copper-ore, corn, moorstone (presumably granite), and oysters, and the importation of timber, coal, and limestone." Gweek is home to the Cornish Seal Sanctuary, which attracts tens of thousands of visitors. More than forty grey seal pups are rescued each year. The aim is to release them back into the wild having given them the best chance of survival.
