I'm working on an architectural project for a couple who lives in this home. I took about 60 exposures and used a speedlight to add more light to the home. Then layered together in PS.
185 rue Belliard, Paris, 18e.
The building was built by Henri Deneux for its own use, in the angle of the street Belliard and the street of the Tennis. This four-storeyed residential property is divided into apartments, with a tight roof-terrace which could welcome plantations.
The facade on streets is dressed in tiles of colored flamed stonewares produced by the ceramists Gentil and Bourdet, whom he assembled in original motives. For the eardrum of the front door he resumes a subject which was on architects' representations in the Middle Ages, it is decorated with a panel of ceramic representing himself to his work table.
The plan of the building resumes the themes of the architecture of the period 1890 - 1914 when the concerns hygienists are important for the modernist architects : allow the arrival of the light and the air in apartments thanks to bow windows, place sanitary equipment.
The architect had planned a terrace in the open air which can be raised.
Henri Deneux lived in the upper floor of the building and rented the other apartments.
The project was developed from March, 1910; the construction lasted of October, 1911 at the end of 1913.

Sibiu, a city in Transylvania, Romania, with a population of 155,000 is the capital of Sibiu County. Sibiu is one of the most important cultural centers of Romania and it was designated a European Cultural Capital for the year 2007 (along with Luxembourg). Formerly the centre of the Transylvanian Saxons, the old city of Sibiu was ranked as "Europe's 8th most idyllic place to live" by Forbes. The first official record referring to the Sibiu area comes from 1191, when Pope Celestine III confirmed the existence of the free prepositure of the German settlers in Transylvania, the prepositure having its headquarters in Sibiu, named Cibinium at that time. It was probably built near a Roman settlement, one that would be known during the early Middle Ages as Caedonia. In the 14th century, it was already an important trade center. In 1376, the craftsmen were divided in 19 guilds. (Wikipedia)
