Along with the home of the Apostles are the best examples of the Gothic style of the 14th century in the Valencian Community.

Continuing my Astro Projection series on maximum WARP!!

Zoom-long exposure travelling in my out-of-body & lens experience on downtown-scapes during Canada Day festivities this summer! It was an exciting 2-stop manual zoom-journey during the long 30 sec exposure, experiencing all these festive city colours, lights and CN Tower's magical projection too...

...all brought to you by my manual zoom / long exposure magic! : )

*It's a SOOC image, manual zooming during long exposure - no processing involved!

Another look at architecture. This time it's a more playful, more imaginative take. Still, how much more wonderful and inspiring it might be to live and work in cities that were actually inspired - in their architecture, their planning, green space, public amenities and overall shape and composition?

What if architecture were to have, beyond of course it's very practical purpose, inspiration and the elevation of the culture as its prime directive? .....

Haven't we had enough of the ubiquitous glass box? I thought Modernism was dead ( at least in architecture ) ! Two Clock/Bell Towers and the "Bow". A ship of time.

^^^^^^^^^ *** I've noticed that every day, almost without fail, at least 30 - 50 people view this series, "RE-IMAGined Architectures". This image, to date, has 2,822 views. I really want to know who's viewing these images so regularly, and why. I am VERY curious. Are you architecture students, engineers, city planners, developers??????? Are the images up for discussion and how are they received in discussion. What kind of institution are these images being viewed at? What's the course and department. Someone please let me know! :-) *** ^^^^^^^^^^^^^

More amazing and beautiful architecture in downtown Calgary, taken late last Friday afternoon an overcast and a bit cold but still fairly nice day out and about!

There are no shortage of unique and interesting buildings in Calgary's downtown core to stop and admire; so many different styles and architecture coming together in the heart of my lovely city!

Hope you're all having a great week so far!

Nada me resta

Do que quis ou achei.

Cheguei da festa

Como fui para lá ou ainda irei

Indiferente

Fito a gente

Que me rodeia e sempre rodeou,

Com um olhar

Que, sem o poder ver,

Sei que é sem ar

De olhar a valer.

E só me não cansa

O que a brisa me traz

De súbita mudança

No que nada me faz.

The Place des Terreaux is a square located in the center of Lyon, France, on the Presqu'île between the Rhône and the Saône, at the foot of the hill of La Croix-Rousse in the 1st arrondissement of Lyon. The square belongs to the zone classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Life unfolds in this beautiful and busy central square, home to a superb fountain sculpted by Statue of Liberty designer, Frédéric-Auguste Bartholdi.

In the past, Place des Terreaux was used as a site of executions; crowds would have gathered here to watch public beheadings. It was redesigned in 1994 by architect Christian Drevet and artist Daniel Buren, who installed 69 jet fountains into the ground.
