This is just a more closely cropped version of Daybreak Through the Dunes; I wanted to emphasize the details of the forms of the grasses. Exposed about ten minutes before sunrise.
According to Wikipedia, in the ancient Mesopotamians' astrology, the first sign of the zodiac was Taurus, called by them "The Great Bull of Heaven." When I saw these clouds late in the day - about 5 minutes before sunset - on Ocean Isle Beach, NC, Taurus is what occurred to my addled brain. My apologies to any insulted bulls; no offense intended.
This is another detail of the rusted surface of the huge steel panel constituting a small part of Richard Serra's sculpture, Sylvester, obviously reflecting some of the color of the day's blue sky. Looks like a Color Field painting to me.
I encountered Serra's massive work at an art museum called Glenstone, consisting of a private collection, and located about 22 miles northwest of the Washington Monument in exurban Maryland. It's a lovely place, and has many other post WWII pieces of art, as well as a lovely physical plant and grounds.
Today's bonus OARCB (old ass rivet counter boomer) mundane high sun, silver box, gravel pile, leaning, wirey, mindless wedgie!
So let's return now to those thrilling days of yesteryear and continue my never ending fetish to capture a train in a perfect NGPN (National Geographic Pristine Nature) setting.
Today Mr Peabody has set the Wayback Machine to 2:55pm on WednesdTuesday, September 9, 1997 and a BNSF eastbound at Shelby (I think), Montana.
The Shorty landed in the shady grass a shot distance away allowing me to get a close-up.

Paradise wildlife park has a new enclosure to house their white lions. Opened just last weekend - a remarkable addition to an already wonderful zoo.
It has been about 3 months since the 1953 Packard Clipper rolled off a trailer from Oklahoma.
Thanks to Greg, Dianne and Keith at Triple S, the car is back in good mechanical health. So, we decided to take her picture with a few family members.
On the far left is Greg’s Mom’s lovely 1956 Packard 400. Next is the 1953 Clipper known as Emmy. Then we see a very smart looking 1953 Cavalier and a massive 1949 Deluxe Club Sedan.
A behind-the-scenes setup photo for this image can be seen here:
Today's bonus rerun OARCB (old ass rivet counter boomer) mundane high sun, silver box, gravel pile, leaning, wirey, mindless wedgie! Continuing with my 1992 vacation, I've left the CRG and am making a fast trip home. So let's return now to those thrilling days of yesteryear and pick up where I last left off in my never ending fetish to capture a train in a perfect NGPN (National Geographic Pristine Nature) setting.
Well having left Idaho behind I'm back in Oregon! So today the Wayback Machine is set to 1:57pm on Sunday, October 4, 1992 at Prichard Creek, Oregon for the helpers on a westbound. The C30-7's were my most sought after units on this trip. Sadly I didn't get many of them.
