La Universidad CEU Cardenal Herrera (Valencia) estuvo en el Solar Decathlon Europe 2010 con esta casa.
Una casa que se caracteriza fundamentalmente por su modularidad, prefabricación y eficiencia energética. Rigurosa y a la vez flexible en su composición debido al trabajo de reflexión invertido sobre módulos prefabricados que pueden ser configurados e incorporados a petición del usuario. De ahí las siglas de su nombre SML House que se corresponden con las letras empleadas para el tallaje de la ropa (Small, Medium y Large).

Klinkt de Atlantische Oceaan anders dan de Indische? Zijn oceaanstromingen in een IJszee fundamenteel anders dan in een tropische zee? Componist Stef Veldhuis werkte samen met oceaanonderzoekers Erik van Sebille en Will de Ruijter om die vragen te beantwoorden. Duizenden oceaansondes wereldwijd verzamelen data die wordt gebruikt voor weersvoorspellingen en klimaatmodellen. Die gegevens vormen nu de basis voor muzikale elementen als toonhoogte, dynamiek en ritme. Tijdens het symposium Music by Oceans op 31 oktober speelde een strijkkwartet de resulterende muziekstukken en vertelden onderzoekers over de oceaanstromingen waarop de composities gebaseerd zijn.

Description: This piece features an interior paperweight with a center of dichroic glass and cobalt oxide frit and a base of trapped bubbles, distorted and magnified by the curvature of the dome. It is surrounded by a double feathered cobalt oxide and copper chloride skirt, which was blown separately, opened with jacks, sized to fit the exterior of the paperweight, attached hot, and then spun open.

Description: After an initial two gathers of clear, a flourished focal point of cobalt oxide is added. Chilled to retain form and depth, this piece is then gathered over and a double feather of cobalt oxide and copper chloride treated with an oxidation flame is added before a final clear gather.
