The new MacBook

The store is under the plaza and fountains of the General Motors building, in the underground retail space of the white building (767 Fifth Ave.). The store features a spectacular 32-foot glass cube entrance at ground level, with a spiral glass staircase and cylindrical elevator leading to a 25,000 square-foot store beneath the plaza.

The Apple Store here is massive O_O

Bikes, bikes lot of bikes and parking space too. At the Apple Store in Amsterdam

The much bigger new Apple store in Bethesda. Not quite open but it looks like they're close.

The Bath Applestore is still buzzing, and the staff to customer ratio is still incredibly high. So much pent up demand. I wonder what Steve Ballmer will do about it?

Note to photographers - If you ask for permission, you can photograph inside the store as long as you are standing outside!

London, UK - 2004

A shot of the outside of the Apple Store on Fifth Ave. The outside looks really nice, extravagent. The inside didn't look too out-of-the-ordinary for an Apple store. Except that it was huge.

And a funny story: I asked a guy wearing a "Genius" shirt if Darwin commands still work on the new Intel Macs, the guy kind of looked me funny, as if I were too young to ask something like that. Then he used Spotlight to search for "darwin" (I think its a fallback option they give in training - "when you don't know something, search."). In fact, I had a shell open that said "Welcome to Darwin!" (although I forgot whether or not it was blocked because i ran "top", but it still inclines me to buy a mac even more)
