When I see these beautiful birds pluck such tiny fish out of the water, it reminds me just how hard they have to work just to feed themselves.
Last week we were out for lunch in our favourite Turkish restaurant. We shared a plate with mixed appetizers.

Letzte Woche waren wir tĂĽrkisch essen. Zuerst haben wir eine gemischte Vorspeise geteilt.
The classic steakhouse appetizer. At Backwoods Inn, we serve a delicious shrimp cocktail with jumbo shrimp and our own homemade tangy cocktail sauce. A perfect starter. Oh so good.

Burrata Appetizer I made for Father's Day. Definitely a keeper.
My ingredients:
Burrata
cherry tomatoes
pesto
scallions
olive oil
balsamic glaze

Project 365 06/16/2017: Pastry appetizers and fresh Lychee on ice courtesy of our host in Shanghai, China. I tasted all of these and all were good however, my favorite by far is the Lychee.
I am testing a few recipes for a dinner I want to host. This is a French Laundry Appetizer. Cucumber Jelly, Crab and various green. I found the daikon on top too weak in flavour and next time will put black raddish instead. Lovely all the same. Recipe soon on my blog.
