A mere sampling of 20,000+ of Martin's drawings, paintings, photographs and other artwork: www.flickr.com/photos/oxfordshire_church_photos/

I don't think there's alot of Martin in these, but as I personally find these drawings interesting, I'm posting anyway. I think my brain may be learning something new about modelling volume in 2D - we shall see. It is not a conscious process, more something I am observing as if it were someone else's brain.

Guess I am really a fickle stylist... one week it's all about woodcut, the next week mosaics, now I seem to have a crush on henpitsu...

A app. 2 inch long newly hatched Crested Gecko

The New Caledonian Crested Gecko, Guichenot's Giant Gecko or Eyelash Gecko, Rhacodactylus ciliatus, is a species of gecko native to southern New Caledonia. This species was thought extinct until it was rediscovered in 1994.[1] Along with several other Rhacodactylus species, it is being considered for protected status by the Convention on the International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Flora and

The species was first described in 1866 as Correlophus ciliatus by the French zoologist Alphone Guichenot in an article entitled "Notice sur un nouveau genre de sauriens de la famille des geckotiens du Muséum de Paris" ("Notes on a new species of lizard in the gecko family") in the Mémoires de la Société Scientifique Naturelle de Chérbourg. It has since been renamed Rhacodactylus ciliatus.

The generic name Rhacodactylus is Greek in origin: Rhakos, meaning "spine" and Dactylus meaning "finger". The specific name, ciliatus, is Latin: Cilia means "fringe" or "eyelash" and refers to the crest of skin over the animal's eyes that resembles an eyelash.

The New Caledonian Crested Gecko has hair-like projections found above the eyes, resembling eyelashes. It has a wedge shaped head and the males with a crest that runs from each eye to the tail. The toes and the tip of the tail are covered in small hairs called setae. Each seta is divided into hundreds of smaller (approximately 200 nanometres in diameter) hairs called spatulae. It is believed these structures exploit the weak van der Waals force to help the gecko climb on most solid surfaces. The toes have small claws which aid in climbing surfaces to which their toes cannot cling.

The New Caledonian Crested Gecko has many naturally occurring color groups, some of which include: gray, brown, red, orange and yellow of various shades. They have variable markings, which include: spots, straight stripes and tiger-like stripes. The markings and coloration are not geographic indicators; offspring of the same clutch may display differing coloration and markings. The colors are brighter and more prominent at night.

The New Caledonian Crested Gecko has distinct structural morphs in head size and crest abundancy. Geckos with a head length less than 1.3 times its width are considered "crowned" Crested Geckos. They can vary in the amount and size of the crests; some have crests that extend to the base of the tail and some lack crests on one side of their

The Crested Gecko is endemic to South Province, New Caledonia. There are three disjunct populations, one found on the Isle of Pines and surrounding islets, and there are two populations found on the main island of Grande Terre. One population is around the Blue River, which is a protected provincial park, and the other is further north, just south of Mount Dzumac

"What brings you here so late, Murdock. And what happened to your eye?"

"It's a long story, Father."

"Listening to stories is part of my job, Matt."

"Well, uh, I guess this all started when I was twelve. You know. That night. Anyways, that night filled me with so much rage and a craving for vengeance. I thought it was unfair what they did to my dad. He won fair and square. But maybe that's what they were angry about... Anyways, I'll skip forward a bit. I don't want to bore you with my story. I wouldn't want to put you to sleep."

"Alright, go on."

"I returned to Hell's Kitchen just two years ago. Foggy and I were just itching to make a name for ourselves as attorneys. We were doing good until our clients were beginning to disappear. I... uh, tried to track them down."

"What would you, a blind man, do if you found them?"

"Foggy asked that too. I didn't know myself. Anyways, I was successful. There was a lead that one of Foggy's friends had, he's a cop by the way. So, I dressed up in padded clothes and wore a mask. I don't know what I was thinking. When I got there I snuck in to the building and was lucky enough to take two down by knocking them out with two wooden sticks I found. The third, however, heard me and booked it out of the building. I chased him to an alley that had a dead end. He grabbed a crowbar and tried swing it at me. I successfully blocked him and hit him down to the ground. I asked who had him take my clients, and he wouldn't talk. So I took a drastic turn and snapped his arm. He squealed like a pig."

"Who was it?"

"He said some man that goes by the name 'Kingpin.' I have no idea who that is though, and neither did he."

"So you're asking forgiveness for what you did to those men?"

"No. I do not regret what I did to them. In fact, secretly, that's one reason why I came back. To right the wrongs in this forsaken city."

"I do not understand. If you are not here for forgiveness, why'd you come here?"

"Because, right now. You're the only person I can talk to and know they won't try to tell the police."

The priest smiles at my last point and looks up.

"You... I knew you had a sense of humor. I didn't know just how cruel it could be."

Police sirens go off and I hear faint screaming about a block away.

"Well, I must get going. My city needs me."

Well, I guess this app needs an explanation. If you didn't know, Payton (Nexus), dropped the Daredevil role, and I dropped Constantine. (let the "you should've done Static" comments role in). Honestly I lost interest in the story. The story not the character mind you. And once Payton dropped DD I knew what I wanted to do. So here's my app.

Also addressing the potential Static comments. Honestly I feel like I would have lost interest in the story much quicker.

Promoting a new podcast App for BBC Radio this vibrant orange livery on Volvo B5TL / Wright Gemini 3, number 417 (BN64 CRX) has a very catchy colour and I wonder if anyone thought how good an idea it would be to have the main BBC radio stations playing (in the upper saloon only of course!).

Naturally, it would need to be balanced and there could be a station change every fifteen minutes....so Radio 1 for the first quarter, Radio 2 for the second, Radio 3 for the third quarter and the spoken word on Radio 4 for the last quarter. Somehow though I'm not too sure if residents living in Dalkeith would want a Beethoven piano concerto suddenly switching to a discussion on Brexit after a hard day at work!!

It's been done before of course, way back in 1975.
