The selfie was accidental or at least, unintentional, when I went inside this house to adjust something with my remote in my hand... and then I decided that I didn't hate it... and while I generally prefer to cut my head off in photos and shoot only my feet, I kind of like this because it is me, in one of my favorite places.... doing what I do ... windows and props. Kind of my home away from home. (I guess combing my hair would have been an improvement... but it was drizzling, and I was wet... and just trying to finish up and go... home.)
Let's keep doing everything we can to create a just world founded on kindness, compassion, and understanding.
Remember that justice grows out of recognition of ourselves in each other — that my liberty depends on you being free too.
Stay strong, and keep speaking out against all forms of injustice.

Could be anywhere. Except for the homogeneity of the Korean society and the cleanliness of the subway.
Five minutes after arriving on the main island of Venice I thought I was lost. In fact, I wondered if I'd find my way anywhere much less back to the hotel. The myriad of bridges over canals, the narrow alleys twisted, turned and led me around far too many corners then confused my sense of direction. I kept walking and picking out landmarks though there was no guarantee I'd return the same way.
Eventually, I arrived at St Mark's Square and this is when my heart melted. I fell in love. My love affair with Venice continues today and I've visited countless times. I still get turned around every so often though my heart doesn't race like that first time. Moving forward always lands me at or near the place I want to be.
My Best Suggestions To Discover The Magic of Venice ::
:: Take a water taxi from the airport to your hotel in Venice.
:: Take a vaporetto to San Giorgio then look back at the main island of Venice in awe.
:: Let out a deep sigh when you see the Bridge of Sighs
:: You'll think you're lost, but you're never lost in Venice. Toss your map and explore.
:: Be a tourist and go to the top of the Campanile in St Mark's Square. The view will astound you. If you're lucky you'll hear the bells of the Campanile up close and personal. They are gloriously loud.

Back to a summer for this one . Oates up in the hills under a stormy looking sky and yes it did rain later as I remember . We may hear later if we can go out more than once a day . Us photographers are a lonely bunch we would only normally go out on our own. I have not driven anywhere with my camera since the start of lock down, it would just not feel right to have done so .
Martin Scorsese's dark movie "Taxidriver" from 1976 stars Robert De Niro as a deeply flawed and violent leading character.
The image above obviously is not shot in NYC...but it has a cab and the rain ;-)
Firstly, I want to point out that whilst I have been 'lucky' enough to have had some very close encounters with Short-eared Owls recently, NOT ONCE HAVE I FELT OR HAD THE NEED TO CLIMB OVER FENCES NOR TO TRESPASS ON PRIVATE LAND IN ORDER TO DO SO. It seems some people are willing to do anything to get the photograph though sadly, giving photographers a bad name in the process. This sort of behaviour is likely to move-on any owl that may be present anywhere.
I had to get down particularly low in the grass for this one.

CS-TFM, a Boeing 777-212ER, on approach to runway 05 at Toronto Pearson International Airport in Mississauga, Ontario.
It was arriving as MMZ751 (euroAtlantic airways - Transportes Aereos S.A.) from Lisbon, Portugal and New Delhi, India. This is the carrier's sole 777.
Why Iceland is called Iceland and not Greenland will remain a mystery forever. But one thing is certain: You can't breathe more freely anywhere.

The flowers are smaller now and only a couple of buds. Nearly finished. 40c/104.6F today. Not going anywhere. Hope the veg don’t get burnt to a chrisp.

Looking through my files, I couldn't find a good Halloween image, so I made one by blending two different photos:
1 - Night sky with full moon and clouds;
2 - Macro shot of the side of an old car (for those who follow my photostream, the 1939 Pontiac that has been a source of inspiration for me for almost two decades) that reminded me of a flying witch and assorted other creepy things.
Over the next few days I will post some recent shots of the aforementioned car. It's the gift that keeps on giving.
