For those who are big fans of Lowry paintings Sorry I know it is not really how he paints and it isn't an industrial landscape, however for me there is a hint of his style in this picture.
I am very lucky to be able to visit scenery like this anytime, I'm sure if he could have, he would have included pictures like this in his collection. Thank you for looking.

After parking my car in town, I heard meowing as I got out. It was this cat, and she (I think) wanted pats. She enjoyed nice pats on her cheeks, then rolled around as I rubbed her tummy. She then hung around as I retrieved my camera, and posed nicely for some photos. She had gone back up her driveway when I returned. I think I'll put some prints in their mailbox next time I'm in the area.

It was arriving as MMZ751 (euroAtlantic airways - Transportes Aereos, S.A.) from Lisbon, Portugal and New Delhi, India. This was the carrier's sole 777 at that time.
Bald Eagle ...clipped the wing a little...anytime I see one, gets the blood flowing !

Anytime I am out taking windmill photos, I get a good look at the cattle in the pasture. They always come running when I stop, thinking I am coming to feed them.

We called this train the 1 PM loads but it actually was the second trip of the day for the 5 AM crew which could get out of Babbitt anytime in the early afternoon. Consist today is 1236-1233-1225-1226 (SD28/SD28/SD9/SD18). They are on the short section of single track out of the mine and will soon be on two main tracks CTC for the 46 mile trip to Silver Bay.

I like this because this could be a picture from any time period from the 1900's to now. I took this a few years ago when I was roaming around Downtown.
I was very familiar the S&D 7Fs In the early sixties, they were very much part of the rail scene between Bath and Templecombe, and on the Midland route through Mangotsfield. I was pleased to see two of the class get preserved, but wherever I see them now they look out of place to me as they are so rooted in my mind with the Somerset and Dorset line
Don't get me wrong though, it's always good to see Number 8 and 9 anywhere anytime!

If you choose not to find joy in the snow you will have less joy in your life but still the same amount of snow.
While this is true, tonight when checking cattle, we are thankful for no new babies. Snow is pretty from your warm home with a mug of hot chocolate but not so much when you are working in it all day and night. Bless our farmers and ranchers for the hours in the brutal cold with new calving mommas. Let's not repeat this morning's crazy temperatures anytime soon.
