OBTW: Sorry, but for me, I'm going to have to stop tracking down people who just VIEW my photos. Like my Spanish friend, to me it is very difficult to visit people that always only leave a fave without commenting ... I reciprocate on every comment, whether at the comment or on a photo of their own. I am too weak, and my health is too bad, to chase down people who don't comment. Thanks for every view, fave, and comment but that's what I am going to have to do now.
Tunisair unfortunately retired their remaining 737-600s last week. We won't be able to shoot this absolute beauty anymore, which is truly sad. So let's remember the good old days!
You past away almost 3 years ago but my memories still are here. And a person is just gone if we do not think about him anymore. Today, the 14th of November is your Birthday and i keep our lifetime moments in my heart! You loved mother nature so much and so i try to express my feelings once more through my lens. We both know this place very well.
I wanted to be with you today and visit you at your grave. But ironically, the same illness that took your life 3 years ago has now caught me. And while I'm tied to my bed, my thoughts are with you!

Tracks in the sand

With the barns all but non-existent leading anymore, I don't usually check the work computer to see what is out and about. On a gut feeling and a whim, I decided to check, and the first train I saw was L500 backing into the yard in Durand with a grubby, weather beaten SD40-2W. I wasted no time getting dressed for the weather and raced off into the night. With only a few minutes to spare after setting up and testing, the distant clang of a mechanical bell and a faint horn prompted me to take position. Coming through Swartz Creek with a short train, I was thrilled that the local police didn't show up, as it would have been awkward to explain why I was on a ladder in a cemetery after dark.
Kind of a junky windmill picture. I don't get out and travel around anymore so I have to take what I do find. Have a great day.

Benni can't get into the Mini Cooper anymore so we haven't been able to get her groomed for 3 months. The mobile groomer came but was too worried about Benni's arthritis to want to work on her.
When I was getting a haircut last week Elizabeth asked about Benni and when she heard about the situation she said, "I'll be over Sunday with my dog's clippers". This was after she worked on 8 people in her salon and also had a drive back to L. A.. True friends show themselves when you need them. most.

I am publishing images of two of the four lions guarding the gate on the A5 (now the A5183) to Markyate Cell estate. Figures of ferocious beings used to flank the entrance to holy places in many religions, east and west. Their purpose was to prevent evil forces from entering. This tradition has been secularised early on and lions pop now up in front of many private dwellings. My guess is that these lions here are a lot older than the plinth they are standing on. Samyang mirror-reflex lens fixed at F6.3.
