Made with jalapeños, habaneros and a house-made “Apocalytic sauce,” it comes with a “no refunds” warning. It did pack a nice punch, but wasn’t too hot (slightly less so than “Thai spicy” generally gets you).
Also, I was in SoCal for work — a project that had me work for almost two weeks, including weekends, so it’s kind of fun to expense this.
The 4th Horseman Apocalyptic Pizza — a heavy metal/punk/horror-themed pizza joint in Long Beach, California. And, yes, they are on 4th Street, completing the pun.
Not only were the food, beer and ambiance great, but the have the courage to still display a Progress Pride Flag, a Black Lives Matter/Say Their Names poster and a poster that gives resources for reporting hate crimes. As the DKs so succinctly sang: Nazi punks fuck off!

Washington DC, Friday September 20, 2019. Strike! On a beautiful late summer day thousands gathered in John Marshall Park and marched a short distance to the lawn of the US Capitol to protest the failure of Trump's Republican Party to deal with the coming climate emergency. The Republicans will now face a unified left that has finally connected the dots between environmental degradation, corporate capitalism, growing income inequality, racism, militarism and other structural evils of our society.

Je suis venu au Rwanda peindre les portraits de quelques "Justes", c'est-à-dire des gens qui ont sauvé des vies pendant le génocide des Tutsis du Rwanda par les extrémistes Hutus de 1994, qui a fait plus d'un million de morts, afin de leur rendre hommage, ainsi que le portrait de certains rescapés que ces héros ont sauvés, leur action magnifique allant à rebours du massacre qui se perpétuait.
L'objectif de cette action artistique, outre de visiter un pays magnifique et complètement sécurisé, est de sensibiliser nos politiciens à l'injustice de la non-reconnaissance du génocide rwandais par la France, injustice d'autant plus criante que le gouvernement français d'alors était impliqué au Rwanda.
L'EGAM, European Grassroots Antiracist Association, et le CNLG (Comité National de Lutte contre le Génocide) m'ont permis par leur soutien de mener cette action à bien.
Au terme de mon voyage, je réaliserai une fresque rassemblant ces portraits et dévoilant leurs parcours ainsi que leurs identités à Kigali, capitale du pays.

I came to Rwanda to paint portraits of people who saved lives during the genocide of the Tutsis of Rwanda in 1994, where Hutus extremists slaughtered more than a million of Tutsis in Rwanda.
These portraits aim at showing the French politicians how unfair the absence of official recognition of the genocide is, while French government was absolutely involved in what happened in Rwanda in 1994.
Rwanda is a beautiful country, completely unified and fully welcoming now, that I invite you to visit.
I could not have done this trip without the support of EGAM, the European Grassroots Antiracist Movement association, and CNLG the National Comitee struggling against Genocide.

The International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination is observed annually on the 21st of March. The Sharpeville Massacre took place on that date in 1960.

Seven members and five supporters of the KKK held a rally in front of Austin City Hall to voice support of Proposition 2. Three thousand people showed up to protest their opposition.
