The surgery itself went well, but I caught double-pneumonia COVID while there 4 days later, and had to be taken in an ambulance to a special covid unit for 14 days, then to a rehab facility for 16 days after that to build up some strength and breathing... It was pretty bad. I'm finally home, but still have a long way to go - but am much better than I was.
There were many fast Carolina wrens (Thryothorus ludovicianus) active at the Springfield Nature Center. Perhaps they were telling me the rain was starting and there was snow fall in the forecast also. We did get 3-4 inches (5-8 cm) but not the predicted amount.

Now that I have your attention.....
Not really!!!! Most of you know that I post photos Mike has taken and many have suggested he should have his own account. Well, over a year ago I set up a free account for him but it was so much trouble to log in and out of them all day long. So, thanks to the suggestion of a dear Flickr friend, I'm reviving his account by using two web browsers!! Boy am I slow sometimes!!! So, if you would like to see his work, from now on you will have to visit his photostream. The name he picked is plainandsimple007. Feel free to make him a contact, IF YOU WANT, but keep in mind, I'll be the one doing all the work and commenting. He does not like computers and really doesn't have time to be on the internet. But, please, don't feel obligated to make him a contact unless you really want to.

This Carolina wren was in a tree just in front of me but it took me a bit to find it. It continued with its announcements as I got the big lens up and fired off some shots before it decided to take its chances elsewhere. This was the same day as the Red-shouldered hawk. Everyone seemed to be aware of the upcoming winter storms.
A woman riding a bicycle stopped to read the concert announcement. Loud music was being performed in the alley. We heard it three blocks away and came to investigate.
I don’t usually announce the publication of my images unless they hold special meaning to me and Outdoor Life Magazine was a must read when I was young.
I signed the contract today for the above image to be used in “Best Fishing Float Trips” feature in the August 2009 issue of Outdoor Life Magazine.
Sybil and I got married in secret a couple of weeks ago! This is the postcard we sent out afterwards.

I will be out the rest of this week for I am expecting Holiday guest. My brother that passed in 2002 had two daughters. They each had babies this year. Ashland born in March and Clark born in May. They are bringing the children for Mother to see before they are no longer babies. These pictures were not made by me but I stitched them together as one. From Tuesday February 5, we start deleting pictures of free users who have more than 1000 photos from the oldest ones. Deletion is continued until 1000 sheets are reached.
Did this for a couple of my friends. Just visited them over the weekend, took a ton of shots, and then designed the Announcement. I'm pretty happy with it, I think it turned out well.
Hey guys, I just wanted to let y'all know some really good news (at least to me). As some of you may know, I posted a "rant" / "explanation" about why I haven't been into Legos that much recently. Well since then, I finally found a job and have been working along with doing tons of school work. Anywho, onto the good news....after some thought, I decided to get back into sculpting/painting. Those two things always helped me relieve stress when I was doing them constantly. Airsoft has taken the back burner for all of my friends and I since school started along with prop making. So now that I have nothing else other than school and work, I think it's the perfect time to start up again. I order so pro create (should be getting it on Monday) and I'll be ordering some sets from Leonardo and Richard.
Expect some cool things soon!
