Yesterday I photographed my original wedding and engagement rings - www.flickr.com/photos/slgc/5556288814/in/set-721576255911... So today I decided to photograph the ring that replaced them on my left hand.
As I said yesterday, my original rings became too small over time for my increasingly chubby wedding finger. So for our 25th anniversary, my husband and I went shopping for a replacement ring. I wasn't looking for a rock or for anything big, but I wanted something that would look right on my finger. This ring was exactly what I had in mind - two-toned yellow and white gold with some small channel-set baguette diamonds. It looks good on me, and it goes with everything.
The irony is that we bought this ring shortly before I started Weight Watchers, so it had to be sized down twice as my finger became less chubby. But that was a problem I didn't mind having, and the ring still looks great on my finger.
I occasionally wear the other rings on my right hand, but I wear this band every day.
Once again, I love how close up I was able to get to this small subject with my macro lens. I am truly loving shooting this kind of detail.
