This is the Little Miss Annabelle, created by Joaquín Simó in 2009 for Death & Company in New York. I'll just come out and quote Simó, "I named this variation on the Sidecar after the daughter of Alexandre Gabriel, who owns Pierre Ferrand. It has a rich mouthfeel for using such a small amount of sweetener." He's right. And it's delicious!
This drink has a similar formula to the Sidecar, but it makes one major substitution, which using pear liqueur, Bénédictine liqueur and cane sugar syrup in place of dry curaçao. This swap lets the honey, pear, spice notes of the Pierre Ferrand Ambre (my favorite cognac) stand out beautifully. Truly, any cocktail that can use its modifying ingredients to elevate the base spirit like this is worth celebrating.
2 oz Cognac (Pierre Ferrand Ambre strongly recommend for this recipe)
0.25 oz pear liqueur (Simó uses Mathilde Poire)
0.25 oz Bénédictine liqueur
0.25 oz cane sugar syrup (1:1 raw cane sugar to water)
0.75 oz fresh lemon juice
1 dash Peychaud's bitters
Add all of the ingredients to a shaker tin. Add ice and shake vigorously until arctic cold. Double-strain into the prepared coupe glass. No garnish.

So now I have had my little Annabelle for an entire year! And I still love her :D
I have been rather inactive these last few weeks, but I have been so busy that I had no time to upload pictures, but I just had to upload one on Annabelle Birthday :D
This picture is not edited since the only editing program I used was Picnik and that's closed and I didn't have time to learn and entirely new program to upload this picture!

descobri que além da câmera tirar um pouco da qualidade(e estar meio desfocado demais) um programa também estava tirando a qualidade da foto quando eu ia por assinatura, resolvi o problema da edição...
Olha a principio eu odiei o flickr, mas nunca julgo um livro pela capa eu tenho que provar nem que seja um pouco!
E depois de ir mexendo e pegando as manhas acho que já me adaptei! A única coisa que continuo não gostando é o fato das fotos ficarem justificadas, não gosto dessa arrumação de foto, e o ruim é que não consigo mudar isso! ele tem a opção de mudar mas aparentemente não esta funcionando e os álbuns estão feios (e onde foram parar as coleções?)!
Também não gostei da pagina inicial onde misturaram fotos novas com comentários, mas essa eu me livro indo em "você - atividade recente" e tudo resolvido...
Mas de modo geral a mudança foi boa, não precisar mais pagar para hospedar as fotos, poder ver todas as fotos, as fotos estão com qualidade(ou seja não culpem mais o flickr quando nossas fotos ficarem podres kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk)
