Take a look at the flowers and plants blooming around you. They didn’t worry their way to awesomeness. And you can’t either. God cares about you, so let Him carry your worries and fears (1 Peter 5:7)

Peregrine Falcons of State Line Lookout
The Peregrine Falcon (Falco peregrinus), also known as the Peregrine, and historically as the Duck Hawk in North America, is a widespread bird of prey in the family Falconidae. A large, crow-sized falcon, it has a blue-grey back, barred white underparts, and a black head and "moustache". As is typical of bird-eating raptors, Peregrine Falcons are sexually dimorphic, females being considerably larger than males. The Peregrine is renowned for its speed, reaching over 200 mph during its characteristic hunting stoop (high speed dive), making it the fastest member of the animal kingdom. According to a National Geographic TV program, the highest measured speed of a Peregrine Falcon is 242 mph.

State Line Lookout
State Line Lookout is a scenic overlook on the Palisades. It is situated at the highest point on the Palisades Cliffs (elevation 527 ft.), about a mile south of the New Jersey–New York state line. The area is open every day during daylight hours only. There is no fee for parking.
From September through early November, volunteer observers record the migration of raptors from the lookout point at State Line Lookout, from 9 AM to 4 PM, volunteer availability and weather conditions permitting.
Visitors are always welcome at the hawk watch (binoculars recommended).
State Line Hawk Watch, sponsored with the Hawk Migration Association of North America was founded in 1997 and is one of around a dozen official New Jersey hawk watch sites.

Unfortunately this is not the Sharpest of images (taken through a glass window in a fairly dark enclosure), but it's fine for Flickr purposes!
Big Paws Big Teeth Kennedy & Big Ears Long Tongue K2 After Mutual Chase Playtime - IMRANâ„¢
These German Shepherd Dogs seem to know when the camera is on them. They believe that size matters.
Kennedy the rescue with his big teeth, big smile, and big paws - who didn’t fully grow to his full potential but is very strong. A well-tamed beast with a ferocious spirit ready to display if pushed too far. But as everyone who’s met him knows, Kennedy is the sweetest and gentlest dog with humans, other animals, and especially young ones — whether a baby bird, puppy, or human infant in a stroller.
K2 the 10 months old puppy with his big ears, long tongue, unending energy - who is already taller than the older dog. He loves learning from Kennedy though constantly bugging him to play and challenging him on the Alpha factor. He can fight back any bigger dog but seems to acknowledge in many ways that, while he could put up a big fight being taller and younger, Kennedy is the true alpha among them.
Both big dogs with their always displayed big grins, big pink tongues, and big pink, well, you know what. Always ready for.... a portrait... and yes THAT too. 😄

my squirrel proof bird feeders aren't very effective. i offer these cute little rodents "squirrel food", but now that they have discovered the fine taste of bird seed delicacies, they won't touch the other stuff.
One of my new favorite things to photograph at the Animal Kingdom is Pandora. The floating mountains, the colorful flowers and awesome waterfalls is what makes this land simply amazing. You can walk around all day and see something different. Have a magical day!
Taveta Golden Weaver from Pangani Forest Exploration Trail
The Taveta weaver has strong claws and bills which enable the bird to weave complex nests. Nests can sometimes fill an entire tree; the weaver usually breeds within the colonies. Even though they are considered songbirds, the sounds that the bird makes is not pleasing to past human observers. The Taveta weaver is currently not endangered.

Thanks for looking. I appreciate feedback!
Today, we travel to Disney's Animal Kingdom for unique shot of Expedition Everest. The only way I could have made this photo better was if I caught the train going to the top. Overall, I m very pleased on how this turned out. Do you ever view your photo and wish you would have captured it differently? Have a magical day!

This is my first posting of 2010 and it's a personal favourite of mine. It was taken during my recent trip to Kangaroo Island, Australia.
Two young sea lion bulls scrap on the beach of Seal Bay. Seal Bay is a wonderful place to visit and one of the few Australian sea lion colonies in the world.
Australian sea lions spend around three days fishing followed by three days resting on the beach. Time on the beach is usualy sent sleeping or feeding pups. There is the occassional episode of activity usually initiated by one or more young male.
Unfortunately recent studies on this colony would suggest that sealion numbers are dropping, no doubt by the hand of mankind.
Happy New Year!
