This snow-capped fence keeps large animals -- big horn sheep and free range cattle -- from leaving the grasslands on the left and onto the road to the right.

Wouldn’t be spring without the obligatory lamb shot! I just love their cute little faces. Thanks for viewing and have a great weekend 😀

It's Cleo's kind of weather at the moment, sunny and warm. When she lies on her back like this, it's a sign that she is happy, pleased with herself and the world. I love to see her like this even if the pose isn't very flattering for a kitty of Cleo's ...ahem ...dimensions.

The South African giraffe or Cape giraffe (Giraffa camelopardalis giraffa) is a subspecies of giraffe ranging from South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique. It has rounded or blotched spots, some with star-like extensions on a light tan background, running down to the hooves.

In 2016, the population was estimated at 31,500 individuals in the wild.

The South African giraffe is found in northern South Africa, southern Botswana, southern Zimbabwe, and south-western Mozambique.

After local extinctions in various places, the South African giraffes have been reintroduced in many parts of Southern Africa, including in Swaziland. They are common in both in and outside of protected areas. - Source Wikipedia

Albino black-tailed prairie dog at the Prairie Homestead, South Dakota.

You might think they'd be used to having tourists traipse around their colony, but especially this photogenic white prairie dog behaved really fidgety and getting a good shot wasn't easy. Maybe they expect food for a decent photo ;-)

Gunnilaberg's construction began in the 1660s. The yellow main-building is built in carolina-style timber with walnut ceilings and has wall paintings from the later part of the 18th century. Gunillaberg is since 2008 owned by flower artist Tage Andersen. The farm has since 2009 been open to the public summer time as a garden park and a cultural center.

Little Jumping Spider Out for a Stroll

Dominating. This could bring trouble - this is the alpa female. I really hope for the white prince that the lady has some kind of humour.. 😉

Eye to eye - Eurasian lynx (February 9, 2017)

I spent a lot of time at this nest watching this baby sit there and do nothing except yawn. No wing stretching, no nothing. Then, one day I go back and it's gone. Go figure!

Thanks so much for the visit!

On my down off the mountain I came across this fella. I laid down near him & watched him - he was so comfortable with me being there he just cleaned himself & was content.....but never taking his eye off me
