Oeuvre majeure de David d'Angers (1788-1856)
Cette sculpture représente le général vendéen Bonchamps en 1793. Blessé par les républicains,(on voit sa blessure au flanc gauche), il demande aux siens de gracier les prisonniers républicains.
Il succombera juste après sa demande.
Belle humanité! et bel hommage du sculpteur.

The occasion is Navarathri (ended 021006) - a 9 day celebration of good against evil where it is the goddess of hinduism that are workshipped. On the 10th day the goddess vanquished the demon. Throught the 9 days, new and experienced artists perform their arts, whether dance, music or artistic creations in front of the deity. The artist is performing bharathanatyam.
La Rocca Borromeo di Angera è una costruzione fortificata situata nel comune di Angera (provincia di Varese), sulle sponde lombarde meridionali del Lago Maggiore. Si tratta di uno dei castelli meglio conservati del territorio lombardo.
Raro esempio di edificio fortificato medievale integralmente conservato, il castello o Rocca Borromeo di Angera si erge su di uno sperone di roccia calcarea che domina la parte meridionale del Lago Maggiore. In posizione strategica per il controllo dei traffici, fu proprietà della casata dei Visconti, originaria del Verbano, e nel 1449 fu acquistata dai Borromeo, cui ancor oggi appartiene.
Dalla Torre Castellana si gode un panorama di rara suggestione: l'ampia distesa del Lago Maggiore, Arona, le Prealpi e le Alpi compongono uno scenario di insolita bellezza.

Probably wondering why I named this picture anger. Its takin some time for me to post this picture due to how mad I was but I digress. Here is NS 278 about to leave Poe in Petersburg, Virginia. Once this train passed me and my friend were stuck on the other side of the crossing. Normally this wouldn't be a problem, However, the side we were on was a dead end. We ended up sitting there four two and a half hours waiting for 278 to clear. Its funny now but back then i was PISSED lol.

The Château d'Angers is a castle in the city of Angers in the Loire Valley, in the département of Maine-et-Loire, in France. Founded in the 9th century by the Counts of Anjou, it was expanded to its current size in the 13th century. It is located overhanging the river Maine. It is a listed historical monument since 1875. Now open to the public, the Château d'Angers is home of the Apocalypse Tapestry.
