oh i do love wearing this one! i made angel wings and a halo to wrap around a glass heart (which is secured to the pendant) and hangs from a 18" silver chain.
Angel loved to crawl into small spaces. Here was one of her favorite hangouts - an empty basket on top of a kitchen cabinet.
Angel trumpeter on the gate of the South porch of St Peter's church, Ipswich. Installed in 2008, the sculptor was local artist, Paul Richardson. The angels are a reference to the past of this ancient building as a parish church, the instruments are a reference to the current use as a home for the Ipswich Hospital Band, which commissioned the gates and the quirky angel wings also hint at musical instruments.

This Angel is leaf formed fallen from the trees and held in place on the surface of a discarded carrier bag. Finding the bag under some beautiful trees I lifted it to take to a bin. The surprise at finding the image on it was an excellent moment. I am still stunned to have seen the Angelic image and it came to me at times when I had been thinking of Ariel the helper of Prospero and off Elemental Angels and of notions linked to several religious traditions. Some think of Angels as Messengers as an embodiment an instrument to act in accordance with their nature and in service to their operator. The nature and character of angels changes not just between the individual beings due to their purpose, they change on intent and on setting. There are stories and tracts describing angels acting for themselves and interacting with humans. Any idea of spiritual connection and communication comes with much accepted thought and criticism. Anything that costs you the price of lifting up rubbish to find a fallen sprite, or an angelic representation with the lightness of heart and raising of consciousness is a part of life that I am happy to have and to mention openly. If they are nothing to you, or if you can dismiss them then I am as happy for you in your way as I am in mine.
From spirits trapped in trees to angels appearing on carrier bags, from the distant past to this idea we share of the present through story, stage and screen we all have myth, magic and legend interwoven with spirituality, faith and religion. Your own experience is yours to treasure. Your chances to lift rubbish and to recycle will not always be rewarded with appreciated artistic applications. When you think angels you will more readily see and suredly appreciate them. Both a life with and without angels is a worthy endeavour, you might even let go of them as easily as others find them? I will keep this angel with me if it wishes to stay and if you believe that it was left more for you than me then please say how I can send this one on to you?
