When the snow starts to fall

And you’re buried down beneath it all

When the light fades away

If you lose your breath and the words to say

Tides will turn

Rest assured

‘Cause seasons pass

A new day dawns

And through the clouds the sun will shine

To guide you home into the light

Let us follow where rivers flow

Let’s see how far we can go

When it feels like you’re out on your own

Hear the voice that’s calling you home

Ooooo

You’ve still got so much more to say

Don’t let this life you have slip away

(Live for another day)

The sun will rise with each new day

Don’t let this life you have slip away

(Live for another day)

Happy New Year!

Explore 31 December 2008 # 326

With the new year fast approaching, I am filled with a sense of anticipation and am wondering what 2009 will bring. A New Year's hug to all of my Flickr friends!!

... while stopping along the way to view some flowers.

"Over all of the hills

Peace comes anew,

The woodland stills

All through;

The birds make no sound on the bough.

Wait a while,

Soon now

Peace comes to you."

- Goethe - Wanderer's Nightsong -

Somehow, this nightfall scene from Kirkjufellsfoss in West Iceland made me remember instantly that wonderful poem by Goethe, only that so far I have not found any translation into English that would do it justice. :(

The season begins anew! From this angle, one can see that the female Peregrine Falcon is at least a third larger than the male.

.Have a great weekend everybody! :-)

Happy Tuesday!! It's rainy here, but it's hard to be unhappy when the cherry trees are in bloom...rain or not :-)

The old city hall in Bamberg is one of the most important buildings which stamps the historical city centre. It is between the mountain town and island town in the left river Regnitz.

In 1387 the city hall was mentioned for the first time and built in the time between 1461 and 1467 anew, so that it accepted the today's shape. In this construction phase it was influenced primarily by the Gothic.

The half-timbered house tilled in the bridge tower is called Rottmeisterhäuschen and served the leaders of the guard as a lodging.

We spent most of yesterday covering the young plants in Rosa's gardens to protect against a strong risk of frost at +1C last night and again tonight. We are thankful we didn't have the unprecedented 10 cm's of snow that they had in northwestern Ontario yesterday. The forecast is for hot weather next week reaching +30C by the coming Friday. Strange new world even without Covid-19.

This is the first time I have been able to photograph this not so rare bird. They seem to like the diet of overripe berries and are known to get drunk as the berries may start to ferment.

It's not easy to get the details on this overcast day as the feathers are of extremely fine texture.

...and realizing anew the beauty and solitude of Nature.

so it seems,

but the sun unceasingly shines.

It's our limitations which keep us deluded.

In the same way the one Self

ever shines.

Thoughts, experiences, ideas are like the clouds -

be still,

let them settle

and know the truth

The Adventure

Honni started their journey anew! They had quickly found themselves in deepwater though.

Once again however, the fairelands proved just how special and powerful they were.

Where once there were legs, now a fin formed.

Where once there was a need for air, now they could breathe water.

The Neko looked down and realized they had become…wait for it…a CAT FISH!

Here’s a quick picture someone caught. Enjoy!

"Strike another match, go start anew, And it's all over now baby blue"---Bob Dylan, ok, I've been listening to him again, no apologies

This was a lovely time to capture the sunset after a sunny winter day

I took this at last winter on my Ricoh Rikenon 50mm F2

Hope you all like it : )

The annual transformation Minnesota is currently undergoing warms my soul. This is one of our favored spots not far from our home town. The snow melt and recent rains are filling the wetlands and invitations have been sent to wildfowl to come and enjoy as well as to set up homes for the next few months. This early morning shot caught these geese tinted with the rays of the rising sun.

its anew dawn its a new day and i'm feeling good

The green and the gold. St.John's, NL, Canada.

Spars: What once was, will be again. Near Mazama, Washington State, United States.

This morning I took my camera and drove to the Isar River. Even on the way there, I noticed how cool and fresh the air was - clear, almost transparent, as if the night had washed away all traces of dust and noise.

Arriving at the shore, a scene unfolded before me that seemed designed for the first breath of day: the water's surface lay smooth and still, only occasionally crossed by gentle currents that caught the light. The sun rose above the trees on the opposite bank, slowly and with a halo of rays that bathed the landscape in colors that were almost impossible to grasp—soft pink, deep orange, interspersed with a delicate blue and green that lay like a shimmer over the water.

I raised my camera, almost reverently, and tried to capture what was actually impossible to capture: that moment when nature begins to breathe anew. Every shot was an attempt to capture the feeling of vastness, purity, and quiet beauty.

And as I stood there, my hands cold, my eyes fixed on the flowing light, I knew: Some days begin with a gift you didn't expect – and the memory of which warms you far longer than the sun itself can.

This is my second time on flickr, I started back in 2012,

I needed a change so I started anew, clean slate new beginning, today, I am pausing and reflecting on my jounery

Being a submissive, I would say authenticity reigns supreme. It is not merely about surrendering control, but about embracing the true essence of who I am. I do what makes me up, delving deep into the recesses of my soul to uncover the raw, unfiltered truth that lies within. It is a journey marked by vulnerability, courage, and an unwavering commitment to self-discovery.

There have been moments when doubt has clouded my path, casting shadows upon my journey, times I felt very isolated and alone, its not easy to pack a punch, as an introvert with a small circle. Society's whispers of judgment and misunderstanding have remained with me, threatening to derail me from the correct course. Yet, in the face of adversity, I have found strength in the power of my authentic voice.

I tell my story not as a mere recollection of events, being in a long term submssive relationship, and engading ofthen in S&M play, I find is a testament to the resilience of the human spirit- my spirt. It is a story woven with threads of passion, desire, and unwavering determination. Through the art of photo stories, I reclaim my narrative, casting aside the shackles of societal expectations to embrace the true essence of my submissive nature.

thank you for 3000 followers, my story continues...

Great numbers for sunrise this morning - last nights brilliant sunset cloud hung around.

Had an atrocious nights sleep - I hate the turn of season it's always too warm or too cold for sleeping properly. But it does mean your awake for dawn more often than not...

Shellharbour - Harbour (yeah I know you were here the other day Steev - what can I say 'lockdown' limitations.

A very low tide that chased me up the shore for the whole sunrise and a great chance to try out the new lens in challenging dynamic conditions .. this thing is sharp and the ability to lock the focus fantastic, it really makes the Pentax KP sing.
