When I first decided to buy a Droid, they were still shipping with Cupcake. I waited a couple of months and got mine with Eclair pre-installed. Now I'm looking forward to upgrading to Froyo by the end of the summer. ***If you did not understand the above paragraph, you are probably not a geek***

ezimba is a web site that can apply different imaging effects.

www.ezimba.com/index.html

I used one picture for all the effects just for consistency for comparison. The title for each photo consists of the category of the effect and the name of the effect. Some effects would be better used on a different image. There are some effects also that appear to do the same thing in different effect categories.

Ezimba also has a Facebook app, Google Android app, and a free iPhone app. Please note that the free iPhone app puts a small logo on the edited image. You can buy the paid ezimba app and not have the logo.

Louis doesn't seem to find it quite as easy to use as an iPad. We had a short loan of a customised Android tablet intended for use in schools.

I love the principal that with an open OS you can customise the home page, and button actions completely, but in practice the small back and home buttons were really hard to hit, and really lost out to the simplicity of one large reliable home button in iOS.

Sorry for the Android photo this week. It's been a bit of a roller coaster and a busy one. Haven't actually picked up the real camera at all this week. Here GaGa is hanging out on the deck in the lovely Tennessee Spring evening and her head is far too heavy to hold up as she surveys her hood.

Conky's infinity theme uses a background image, by default the image is avaialble only for Backtrack OS. This is for Android fans
