Finished my long day of work earlier this evening and rushed to Hidden Valley for a short hike to re-energize myself. When I came down from the hill, I witnessed this beautiful sunset behind a lupine field. I immediately took out my phone and composed for this shot. Not the best of my focus work, but still, it made my long day of work with a bitter sweet!
I have no idea why these two are loafing on the kitchen floor, but they've both been just fed. Sunny is the bigger of the two but Cherie's the fastest growing cat that we've ever had. 🐱
Cherie's face is heavily camouflaged by her tortoiseshell fur pattern. I had to increase the shadows so that her nose and jawline could be seen. She has a very soft, medium length fur which makes it easy for us to groom.

I don't usually carry my pocket Canon cameras with me anymore, therefore I had to make do with my phone for this unplanned shot of this kitten that wandered into the small supermarket.
Back in 2010 I carried two devices on my belt pouches - my Canon PowerShot S95 and a Sony Ericsson W995. The phone was very small and took barely passable images, so it made sense to have my proper camera with me all the time. These days I have two thick and heavy smartphones with me and it's a burden if I had to bring along a compact P&S camera as well.
Anyway, I managed to pick up this little one and he didn't even put up a struggle! 😻
Seeing the aliens, including the mother, into the main corridor of the ship, Android SXYGEOF and HAWTMORG rushed to catch up with them but with extra precaution.
"Remember, these aliens have acid for blood when you injure or kill them. That blood will certainly disintegrate us." shouted SXYGEOF
