Il Mercato delle Erbe fu realizzato in ferro e ghisa nel 1926, in stile liberty, dagli operai del Cantiere Navale di Ancona usando in parte il metallo delle navi austriache catturate e dismesse (della I guerra Mondiale 1915-18), con il preciso scopo di coprire la già esistente piazza (Il Resto del Carlino, 2012)

 

ENG :The Mercato delle Erbe was made of iron and cast iron in 1926, Art Nouveau, by the workers of the Naval Shipyard in Ancona using in part the metal of captured Austrian ships.
