I made a trip with a few other Flickr contacts today to the abandoned Anchor Glass bottle factory in Antioch. The factory has been closed since May 1997, and it looks like they are starting to dismantle it now. Lots of nice pics to come in the next few days.

....the anchorage between the islands of Kythnos and its satellite Ay Loukas in the Cyclades is one of the finest I have ever had the pleasure and privilege to drop my hook in.

Sheltered from winds and swell from almost all directions, a natural bar connecting the two islands of golden fine sand, clear unpolluted warm waters in which to swim, stunning mountain scenery, no mass tourism - just a few yachties and their boats and a friendly taverna ashore providing fine locally sourced and cooked foods with a good selection of local and international beers and wines.

Perfect in all respects.
