Thursday morning I cycled 31km roundtrip from home to downtown Victoria and back home via Dallas Road and around the Inner Harbour.
With the Connecticut River at Old Saybrook's North Cove frozen over, mushroom anchors and their buoys wait for Spring. See my other Connecticut images at flic.kr/s/aHsjs4KLLu.

I made a trip with a few other Flickr contacts today to the abandoned Anchor Glass bottle factory in Antioch. The factory has been closed since May 1997, and it looks like they are starting to dismantle it now. Lots of nice pics to come in the next few days.

An anchor holding a platform bringing cables ashore from the offshore Rapion windfarm, I thought of a mono shot that morning when the sky was really devoid of any colour,
This anchor belonged to H M S Conway , which was a naval training school or ' school ship ' and dates back to 1859. Taken at the Maritime Museum at Albert Dock , Liverpool.
