Im alten Ahnensaal aus Stein und schwerem Holz,
ruht Zeit in hohen Bögen, geduldig, still und stolz.
Die Wände tragen Stimmen aus vergangner Qual,
verhallt wie ferne Schritte durch den Ahnensaal.
Gemälde blicken schweigend, würdevoll und fahl,
Ihr Blick verflucht die Zeiten, kalt und fahl.
Der Atem der Geschichte weht kühl und schmal,
und flüstert leise Ewigkeit im Ahnensaal.

The ancestral beauty of the high mountain.
A sea of clouds breaks on ridges whose shape let me think about extinct prehistoric animals. Giants of other times... and it’s indeed of other eras that the high mountain is constantly speaking, to those who want to listen.

For thousands of years the men and women of Ecuador made objects inspired by the spiritual and ancestral world.
With creativity these artists expressed their vision of a cosmos where the continuos flow of energy makes all life possible.

The Carchi Pasto culture was located in northern Ecuador in the province of Carchi, in the inter-Andean region between the Mira and Chota rivers. It extended as far as the Nariño Department of Colombia. Most of the population settled in the territories of Ipiales, Túquerres (Colombia) and Carchi (Ecuador).
It was characterized as being a peaceful, sedentary trading culture. The Carchi Pasto traded Spondylus mollusc shells, coca leaves, salt and jade with other coastal and Amazonian peoples. They were expert hunters of deer, which had a strong symbolic value.
This culture is renowned for its pottery and metallurgy. Many of their pieces feature “coqueros” – human figures in a sitting position with a bulge in their cheeks representing the rite of chewing coca leaves—along with interpretations of sacred animals such as jaguars and monkeys. They specialized in the negative painting technique to decorate their pottery, which was a dark red color. They also made use of positive-space painting, modelling, stone carving and gold-copper alloys. They also used Spondylus shells as beads and collars, which they obtained through trade with other regions.
It dates back to the early 1930's and has been kept in perfect condition ever since. During the Japanese occupation of the Phil. (WWII), this house was used as a hospital by the Japanese Imperial Army. (Dr. Dominador Almeda is my sis-in-law's great grandfather & original owner of this beautiful house).

Dolmen de la Hetxizera, en Elvillar, Alava, fotografia nocturna, utilizando dos linternas para pintar la escena, una con filtro naranja dentro del dolmen y otra con filtro amarillo para pintar el exterior del dolmen, temperatura de color fria para potenciar el azul-violeta del cielo y de esta forma los filtros naranjas y amarillos plasman en la imagen una tonalidad menos calida, se podría llegar a que la tonalidad sea la misma que la de la luz blanca empleando una temperatura de color más fria, pero yo queria esa luz calida que evoca un uso de fuego en el interior del dolmen, como si estuviera habitado.
Para enfocar con f 2,8 he usado la hiperfocal, una velocidad lenta (trípode) para dar movimiento a esas nubes y tambien tiempo para pintar con las linternas.
En la oscuridad lo que no se ilumina no existe.
Respira y respira, inhala y exhala, una sonrisa choca contra una lágrima, se observan con una curiosidad traviesa, se palpan, se acarician se perciben como brisas, ,,
Ante los parámetros de la conciencia hechizada, son opuestos sentidos, ante los ojos luminosos de aladas sombras, son reflejos que bendicen sus oníricas formas , reflejos que atraviesan cada obstáculo, y se abrazan en la eternidad, rodando ,enredosos, en círculos, que siembran Amor ,en cada giroso enredoso,,vibrar…
Que reflejos de tu memoria alada acobijan en tus alas mis latidos..que palpitan al derevez cada vez que tu alas, siembran amaneceres ante mis pies,,,

This location made me feel like I was looking back in time on how the Irish landscape would have looked to my ancestors thousands of years ago, magnificent valleys with bog lands as far as the eye can see all untouched by modernism

While hiking the Petroglyph Point Trail with a view looking to the southeast at cliff dwellings present. This is in Mesa Verde National Park. In composing this image, I pulled back on the focal length to include more of the surrounding landscape to add to the setting of this image captured.

Chankillo es un centro ceremonial único y excepcional con más de 2300 años de antigüedad, conformado por 13 torres, un templo circular y una plaza construidos con piedra y barro. Representa el ejemplo más antiguo en las Américas de un monumento dedicado a la observación del movimiento solar y la medición del tiempo.
