Els Comitès de Defensa de la República[a] (amb sigles CDR) anteriorment anomenats Comitès de Defensa del Referèndum, són un conjunt d'assemblees locals, de barri, comarcals i nacional amb l'objectiu de defensar, en primera instància, el referèndum de l'1 d'octubre i la república catalana posteriorment, des de l'estratègia de la no-violència.
Les assemblees aglutinen membres d'entitats, partits polítics independentistes, sectors de l'economia o l'esport i persones independents que busquen organitzar aquesta defensa poble a poble i barri a barri.
La independència de les assemblees locals dels CDR ha permès mobilitzacions constants i de molt diferent caire arreu del territori on tenen implantació.
Aquestes van des del desplegament de pancartes, pintades de murals als pobles, penjada massiva de llaços grocs, cercaviles, àpats populars, entre moltes d'altres.
El dia 10 d'abril de 2018, la Guàrdia Civil va detenir dues persones sota per haver "continuat l'estratègia del Govern de Puigdemont", acusades de rebel·lió i terrorisme.
Ambdues persones van ser traslladades a Madrid per ordre de l'Audiència Nacional.

CDR
The Defense Committees of the Republic [a] (with acronym CDR) previously called Referendum Defense Committees, are a set of local, neighborhood, county and national assemblies with the aim of defending, in the first instance, the referendum from October 1 and the Catalan Republic later, from the strategy of non-violence.
The assemblies bring together members of entities, independentist political parties, sectors of the economy or sport and independent people who seek to organize this defense people in town and neighborhood.
The independence of the local assemblies of the CoR has allowed for constant mobilizations and very different in the territory where they are implemented.
These range from the display of banners, painted murals to the villages, hanging massive yellow bows, parades, popular meals, among many others.
On April 10, 2018, the Civil Guard arrested two people below for "having continued the strategy of the Government of Puigdemont", accused of rebellion and terrorism.
Both people were transferred to Madrid by order of the National Hearing.
