Ananda temple in evening light . One of the many many temples in Bagan

"We don't realize that, somewhere within us all, there does exist a supreme self who is eternally at peace.”

Elizabeth Gilbert

This was probably my favourite of those I saw in Bagan, Myanmar

This is one of the many temples and pagodas in Bagan in Myanmar. I liked the framing.

....located on Abbot Kinney Blvd. in Venice Beach, this little store taps into Abbot Kinney's hippie roots with what might be called “international funk.” Featuring odds and ends such as books on Buddhism and scented candles, Ananda puts forth an eclectic selection of goods.

But the real highlight is the clothing, which, unlike other boutiques, is reasonably priced. Some lines hail from American designers, while others are culled from Indian and Asian fashions.

Excerpt from temple.bongeunsa.org/public_html_en/intro/buddhist.asp:

Yeongsanjeon ( Disciples Hall )

Enshrined in the center of this hall is a Statue of the Sakyamuni Buddha, with a statue of Mahakashyapa on his left, Ananda on his right and 16 Arahants are on both sides. Buddhist Paintings such as the painting of Buddha, the painting of Guardian Deities and paintings of portraits of sixteen Arahants bring the atmosphere of this hall. In Korea, Buddhists believe that Arahants have supernatural powers and respond quickly to the Buddhists' wishes. That is the reason why many Buddhists pray for their wishes here.

Been going through older images like a lot of other folks during our down time. This is the Ananda Village Lotus Pond. Caught this flying bee.

Well, some people may question me how i take those interesting images?.....

I often reply them with a laugh, just my pure Luck!

No, Not really so effectively, it fundamentally fall into my basic photography instinct Plus the game of patient waiting.

Waiting for the right moment will stand you higher chance succeding if you are also patient enough to expect what u didn't expect to turn out as primarily we can never able to control their subtle mind, but the rewards of patient to wait for the right moment to strike would be fruitful after plugging out some great courages tries..

Candid street photography is definitely exciting and super challenging, people been suspicously shot would be intimidated by your move after they discover your intention.

However, don't be intimidated and quit if you kept really a distance away with them as they might express the moment of time correctly suitable for the next golden call shot of the day.

My little secret to share, when i spotted what interest me no matter the distance is too far away, i will first subtly hit few triggle trial shots quietly to test unawareness is possible, then i will advance quickly closer to my target and compose shot that well fits with another few shots all in silent mode and auto ISO. if the angle wasn't right i would quickly recompose decisively as too many rowdy movement may alarm your target quickly and thing you don't want start fall apart wrongly. The vital elements is see the correct light and shadow fall and follow the direction of lights to position one-selves to capture them with as many possible good shots as require

Tandava symbolizes the cosmic cycles of creation and destruction, as well as the daily rhythm of birth and death. Ānanda means bliss in Sanskrit.

This spectacular temple is one of the highlights of all the splendours of Bagan.

Bagan is located on a broad plain along the Irrawaddy River some 500 km (311 mi.) north-northwest of Yangon, in the Mandalay Region, Myanmar. It became the capital of the Pagan Kingdom, which grew to encompass nearly all of present day Myanmar from the 9th to the 13th centuries. During that period some 1,000 stupas, 10,000 small temples, and 3,000 monasteries were built on the Plain of Bagan. Mongol invasions caused the kingdom to collapse in 1287. Subject to more than 400 earthquakes since 1904, much of Bagan's architecture has been lost.

In 2019, Bagan was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Covering an area of 50 sq. km (12,369 acres), UNESCO notes that the site includes "3,595 surviving monuments" including the Ananda Temple seen here. It was built in 1105 by King Kyansittha (ruled 1084-1112/13). The temple was damaged by a magnitude 7.0 earthquake which struck on 08 July 1975, and was fully restored.

One of Muang Boran's highlights is the Sumeru Mountain Palace. The Sumeru Mountain feature represents the centre of the Universe according to Thai cosmology, which is supported by the giant Ananda fish, keeping it above the waters of the Cosmic Ocean.

This fish from Hindu mythology, according to legend, she lives in the endless spaces of space, and one movement of the tail is capable of causing an earthquake and tsunami.

According to Thai cosmology, Sumeru Mountain is considered the pillar of the world as well as the center as the universe. The mountain, supported stays above the surface of the water. lt is the residence of spirits ranging from deities in heaven to devils in hell. The beings living by the mountainside also include humans, nagas, garudas. ogres. ogresses and yogis. Each of them is distinguished by wisdom morality.
