What have I been up too? I'm currently trying really hard to stay focused and prepare for a 365 project. Staying on one subject when there are so many great things to shoot is quite difficult, so it's going to be an interesting year when it begins.
About this image: I have to admit that I'm a big scaredy cat when it comes to horror. However, American Horror Story has the most inspiring imagery that it's hard to stay away!
Where else can you get away with using so much noise in images?!! LOL I had to show you a cropped in version, so you could see how effective it is in creating just the right mood.

You know that every once in a while, I’ll make a reference to TV and Pop Culture in my photos, right? Well, the time has come again.
A couple of months ago I started watching something I’d always dismissed as ‘not for me’: American Horror Story. I started with Coven (I still have the two other seasons to watch) and I went completely insane about it. It’s about witches. My entire teenage hood was populated by witchy things, by the wish to be magical and witty and awesome, and that’s exactly what the characters in this show are. So this photo is a bit of a homage to that, and especially to my two favorite wishes in that Coven: Cordelia and Misty Day. The former because of her issues, so very much like mine — minus being married to a witch hunter, thank goodness — and the latter because of her undying love for Stevie Nicks, who I have also worshipped since I was a teenager. They both work with plants and living beings and I wanted to bring that into the photo. The show had its finale a couple of days ago, and I’m sort of in that depressive phase of ‘what the hell am I going to do with myself without my witches’?
The title is from one of Jessica Lange's fabulous lines in the show.
