In Milan we're plenty of ugly pigeons, instead, if you live in Australia you will see a lot of small parrots like this one! I love Australia
The fortifications of Kotor (Italian: Cattaro) are an integrated historical fortification system that protected the medieval town of Kotor containing ramparts, towers, citadels, gates, bastions, forts, cisterns, a castle, and ancillary buildings and structures. They incorporate military architecture of Illyria, Byzantium, Venice, and Austria. Together with the old town and its natural surroundings the fortifications were inscribed in the list of World Heritage Sites in 1979 labelled Natural and Culturo-Historical Region of Kotor and represent the only such site of cultural significance in Montenegro.
soft box camera right held by a friend. I am shooting from inside a building. Model on small porch.
Bare strobe set at about 1.5 stops lower than the soft box from camera left.
trigger: cyber syncs - they fire every time and they are very small. I hate those giant pocketwizzy things.

Just Beyond The Sunset
Just beyond the sunset
Someone waits for me
Just beyond the sunset
Lies my destiny
Where the purple mountains
Lie in deep tranquillity
There I’ll find the treasure
Of love eternally
Just beyond the sunset
Waits someone so fair
Just beyond the sunset
All alone they wait there
Their hair is golden
The colour of the sand
Their eyes sparkle in the night
Like diamonds in your hand
Just beyond the sunset
Lies a home for me
Where the world is peaceful
Like a paradise should be
Just beyond the sunset
Someday is where you’ll find me

Photography taken in Havelock, North Carolina. Havelock is one of eight cities in the world named after Sir Henry Havelock, a British Officer in India, who distinguished himself in 1857 during what was known as The Indian Mutiny. Originally named "Havelock Station" in the late 1850's when the Atlantic and North Carolina railroad built a depot where its right-of-way crossed what is now Miller Boulevard in Havelock. The town was the initial landing point for an American Civil War battle known as the Battle of New Bern. On March 11, Brigadier General Ambrose Burnside's command embarked from Roanoke Island to rendezvous with Union gunboats at Hatteras Inlet for an expedition against New Bern. On March 13, the fleet sailed up the Neuse River, anchored at Slocum Creek, and disembarked infantry on the river's south bank . Elements of the Rhode Island Heavy artillery came ashore near the location of the Officer's Club on Cherry Point Marine Corps Air Station and also near the Carolina Pines Golf and Country Club. The Federals captured nine forts and 41 heavy guns and occupied a base. The Federals transited Havelock from New Bern on their way to the Battle of Fort Macon. Despite several Confederate attempts to reclaim the town and the surrounding area, the Federals did not withdraw until after the end of the war.
The Haus der Kulturen der Welt ("House of the World's Cultures") in Berlin is Germany's national centre for the presentation and discussion of international contemporary arts, with a special focus on non-European cultures and societies. It presents art exhibitions, theater and dance performances, concerts, author readings, films and academic conferences on Visual Art and culture. It is one of the few institutions which, due to their national and international standing and the quality of their work, receive funding from the federal government as so-called "lighthouses of culture."

The cheetah, with its long legs, deep chest and narrow waist, help to make it is easy to see why this is the world's fastest land mammal (to 68 mph). The extremely flexible spine permits long bounds while running, and wide nostrils allow sufficient entry of air into the lungs to facilitate the great speed. The muzzle is short and the eyes set high on the head. The nostrils are wide, and the ears small and rounded. The claws do not retract fully and are partially exposed to give traction during fast turns and rapid acceleration. The short, coarse fur is tawny yellow with round black dots. The cheetah has distinctive "tear-lines" running from the inner corners of the eyes to the outer corners of the mouth. Head and body length is from 44 to 53 inches, the tail from 26 to 33 inches, and the weight ranges from 86 to 143 pounds. Cheetah cubs under 3 months of age have a "mane" of blue-gray hair on the nape of the neck and the back.
Female cheetahs are solitary and do not defend a territory. Several females, both related and unrelated, may share large, overlapping home ranges. Males may join together in small groups, called coalitions, to defend a small territory. In contrast with other cats, females may have a range in excess of 5 times the size of a male's. They eat only prey they have killed themselves (in the wild), and will not consume carrion. They eat the heart and kidneys first, drink the blood, then consume the head and finally the muscle meat.

Ladies View is a scenic point along the N71 portion of the Ring of Kerry, in Killarney National Park, Ireland. The name apparently stems from the admiration of the view given by Queen Victoria's ladies-in-waiting during their 1861 visit.
Taken in Rapid City, South Dakota.

We have had an unusual warm winter in Toronto Canada. we had positive 18C couple days ago in a normal very cold and lot of snow February, This image was taken on Boxing day last year when it was still very cold day (probably -10). Due to the cold and warm weather shift, the squirrel came out seeking for food too early in the season. I shot this image from kitchen through the window with my powerzoom lenses on Nikon D500 at its maximum zoom.

You only find the striking patterns of the Grévy's zebra in Kenya and Ethiopia these days. This species was once found in Ancient Egypt at the time of the Roman Empire, which goes to show that they were once prevalent in Northern Africa. Strict conservation measures protect the last surviving animals of today.
It is hard to believe, but the world's largest equine animals are actually not horses, but zebras. Grévy's zebras belong to the order of the Perissodactyla and are especially popular because of their distinctive black and white striping of their fur in addition to their long ears. There are three types of zebra: the Grévy's zebra, whose home is the semi-deserts of East African, the plains zebra and the mountain zebra, native to Namibia and South Africa.
Dancing Girl Statue, (Outside the Old Town on your way to Mogren beach). A statue of a topless girl doing the dancer's pose (yoga). Some people say that this is a statue of a young girl who drowned here but others say that this is just an ordinary statue. This is a good place to take pictures with a panorama of Old Town in back.

Murugan statue is standing at 42.7 m (140 ft) high, the world's tallest statue of Murugan, a Hindu deity, is located outside Batu Caves.
Rising almost 100 m above the ground, the Batu Caves temple complex consists of three main caves and a few smaller ones. The biggest, referred to as Cathedral Cave or Temple Cave, has a very high ceiling and features ornate Hindu shrines. To reach it, visitors must climb a steep flight of 272 steps.
The cave is one of the most popular Hindu shrines outside India, and is dedicated to Lord Murugan. It is the focal point of Hindu festival of Thaipusam in Malaysia
