The 4th century St. George Rotunda was a cylindrical domed structure built on a square base (the oldest building) behind some remains of the ancient town of Serdica.

The glass pyramid is the center of the park's cultural activities and a monument that symbolizes the park. It reflects the outdoor environment directly, and in summer you can enjoy the blue sky cut by the beautiful lawn, and in winter you can enjoy the beauty of the entire snowy field as if you were integrated with the scenery of the park.

The atrium made of glass is not a quadrangular pyramid when you hear it as a “pyramid,” but a complex form that combines a triangular face with a side of 51.2m, a quadrangular pyramid, and a cube. Despite its shape, it is a tribute to the glass pyramid of the Louvre Museum (Paris, 1989) by the architect IM Pei, a young friend of Noguchi who was building at the time of the design.

The hotel houses restaurants, galleries, shops and park management offices, and music, dance and art exhibitions are held on weekends.

In addition, attention has been paid to the introduction of “snow cooling” in the cooling system inside the building to consider the environmental burden.

Two heads of mythical creature Medusa are carved into large stone blocks - columns' bases - inside Basilica Cistern, the largest of several hundred ancient cisterns that lie beneath the city of Istanbul. The origin of the two heads is unknown, though it is thought that the heads were brought to the cistern after being removed from a building of the late Roman period.

Church of St. Nicholas

The construction of the church of Sveti Nikola (St. Nicolas) began in 1902 in Kotor, and the construction of the church was terminated in 1909, which we can see from the inscription on the façade. The church was built in pseudo Byzantine style. This is a one-transept edifice. The main façade is enchased with two belfries and special value for the church represents an iconostasis of the church of Sveti Nikola (St. Nicolas), which was made in 1908.

Behind the church and up at the hill is the fortifications built during the Venetian period. It is located on the Bay of Kotor (Boka Kotorska), one of the most indented parts of the Adriatic Sea. Some have called it the southern-most fjord in Europe, but it is a ria, a submerged river canyon. Together with the nearly overhanging limestone cliffs of Orjen and Lovćen, Kotor and its surrounding area form an impressive landscape.

SAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURES

I shot this simple image right at the entrance to Plitvice Lakes National Park while waiting for the boat as everyone did. It was a pano view of the lake with a small island in the middle. Behind was the boat that we were waiting. The fall colour gave this image a punch with line direction from both sides to deeper end with depth.

Plitvice Lakes National Park (Croatian: Nacionalni park Plitvička jezera, colloquial Plitvice, pronounced [plîtʋitse]) is one of the oldest and the largest national park in Croatia. In 1979, Plitvice Lakes National Park was added to the UNESCO World Heritage register
