It is a major Gothic Revival architecture building and one of the landmarks of the city of Strasbourg, in Alsace, France. Its two spires are 76 meters (250 feet) high, towering above the fork between the Ill and Aar rivers.

Japanese are passionate about fishing, but imagined it to be a cheek-by-jowl affair carried out in pre-stocked ponds. That you can cast into a crystal-clear lake on Hokkaido, and parts of the main island of Honshu, with few other anglers around, came as a surprise.

However, it was because in fall, the cold and windy weather made the boats rested on shore.

Wander through beautiful native forests and over a swing bridge to experience the pristine waters of Makarora River's Blue Pools. Stroll through beech/tawhero forest to a swing bridge that crosses the Makarora River. Follow the boardwalk to a viewing platform over the Blue Pools then cross the Blue Pools bridge for great views up the river gorge.

Along the way look out for large trout feeding in the pools and listen for the threatened yellowhead/mohua, which can often be heard in the canopy. Nestled among mature beech and podocarp forest, these pools of deep, clear water flowing into the Makarora River offer a moment of tranquillity. This is one of our best short walks.

The rain made the tourists staying away from uncovered area that I got the chance to take this photo with no people standing in the open area. The rain didn't stop me taking photos and in fact I do like the wet look and the atmosphere being raining.

The Monastery of Saint Ivan of Rila, better known as the Rila Monastery was founded in the 10th century, the Rila Monastery is regarded as one of Bulgaria's most important cultural, historical and architectural monuments and is a key tourist attraction for both Bulgaria and Southern Europe. It is situated in the southwestern Rila Mountains, 117 km (73 mi) south of the capital Sofia in the deep valley of the Rilska River at an elevation of 1,147 m (3,763 ft) above sea level, inside of Rila Monastery Nature Park.

Entry to the Takachiho Gorge (高千穂峡, Takachiho-kyō) is a narrow chasm cut through the rock by the Gokase River. The nearly sheer cliffs lining the gorge are made of slow forming volcanic basalt columns which resemble the scales of a dragon where the stone twisted and flowed as it formed.

Partway along the gorge is the 17 meter high Minainotaki waterfall cascading down to the river below, and it is truly impressive to see the waterfall against a backdrop of dense green foliage and the surrounding grey cliffs.

The Tidal Basin is a partially man-made reservoir between the Potomac River and the Washington Channel in Washington, D.C. It is part of West Potomac Park and is a focal point of the National Cherry Blossom Festival held each spring. The Jefferson Memorial, the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Memorial, the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial, and the George Mason Memorial are situated adjacent to the Tidal Basin. The basin covers an area of about 107 acres (43 ha) and is 10 feet (3.0 m) deep.

It comes from the the Italian "monte negro" meaning black mountain. This is also the meaning of the country's native name, which is Crna Gora.

The name Montenegro itself reflects the time when Venice ruled over that region. The reference to black mountains in turn comes from the excessively mountainous geography of the country.

"Montenegro's native name, Crna Gora ("Black Mountain"), is mentioned for the first time in 1276 by Serbian King Stefan Uroš I (1243-1276) in his edicts to the Serbian Orthodox Zeta Episcopate seat at the Vranjina island in Lake Skadar. The origin of the term lies in the Slavic reference to excessively mountainous regions, often emerging in the medieval Serbian realm."

The Elevated Wooden Path (木制的高架路), about 800 m in total length, with electric fences is completely handicapped accessible wooden path built to avoid bears at 2-3 m in height, and has 3 observation decks, Renzan Observation Deck (連山展望台), Okotsuku Observation Deck (オコツク展望台) and Kohan Observation Deck (湖畔展望台), so everyone can be easy to view a scenery of the Shiretoko freely. It is said that views from the Elevated Wooden Path are most beautiful in the Shiretoko Goko Lakes, and the Shiretoko Mountain Range, the Lake Ichiko, the Sea of Okhotsk and a striped bamboo hill can be viewed. It is disappointing that only the Lake Ichiko can be seen in the 5 lakes, but you might see wild animals if you are lucky. It takes about 30-60 minutes each way on foot.

Hiking all the way up on the hill above the ksar will reach this building, and an amazing panoramic viewpoint.

On one side you see a stony desert that stretches into infinity while the other side gives you an overview of the palm grove that lies at the foot of the village. Ait Ben Haddou was used as a filming location for Yunkai during season 3 of Game of Thrones. The city of Yunkai is a slave-trading city that was freed from their slave merchants by Daenerys Targaryen. Since Ait Ben Haddou been a part of Game of Thrones it became even more popular.

There are so many beautiful scenes that you can see in Plitvice Lakes National Park in Croatia especially if you can view from high elevation. It was bad

to me that I had only half day there and couldn't go higher up to get better vista. This was the one I captured to be my best one over there. The time was around 5pm mid October last year. The sun was low that I was at the shadow side overlooking a footpath along the lake gave a sense of direction and also cast a beautiful reflection on the water. On the other side of the image was full of autumn colour with late afternoon sunlight that pushing out its brilliant foliage.

Fireworks at Lake Toya. The Lake Toya Fireworks Display is a popular long-run fireworks display in Japan. During the display, each night there will be hundreds of fireworks exploding over the Lake Toya. It lasts for nearly half a year and is widely liked by tourists. Since the fireworks are placed on the boat that rides on the lake, they can be seen throughout the entire hot spring street hotel and in the open air, which is very romantic.

The great egret (Ardea alba), also known as the common egret, large egret, or (in the Old World) great white egret or great white heron is a large, widely distributed egret, with four subspecies found in Asia, Africa, the Americas, and southern Europe. Distributed across most of the tropical and warmer temperate regions of the world, it builds tree nests in colonies close to water.
