Image captured in early 2017 using Nikon D300s with 28-70mm lens

Heads of stone warriors at the main entrance of Angkor Wat, Cambodia.

A long causeway leading to each entry tower is flanked by a row of 54 stone figures on each side – demons on the right and gods on the left-to make a total of 108 mythical beings guarding the city of Angkor Thom. The demons have a grimacing expression and wear a military headdress whereas the gods look serene with their almond-shaped eyes and wear a conical headdress. (Some of the heads on these figures are copies; the original ones have been removed and are at the Angkor Conservancy in Siem Reap).

This image was captured from the bus while entering to the Angkor Wat.

The Elevated Wooden Path (木制的高架路), about 800 m in total length, with electric fences is completely handicapped accessible wooden path built to avoid bears at 2-3 m in height, and has 3 observation decks, Renzan Observation Deck (連山展望台), Okotsuku Observation Deck (オコツク展望台) and Kohan Observation Deck (湖畔展望台), so everyone can be easy to view a scenery of the Shiretoko freely. It is said that views from the Elevated Wooden Path are most beautiful in the Shiretoko Goko Lakes, and the Shiretoko Mountain Range, the Lake Ichiko, the Sea of Okhotsk and a striped bamboo hill can be viewed. It is disappointing that only the Lake Ichiko can be seen in the 5 lakes, but you might see wild animals if you are lucky. It takes about 30-60 minutes each way on foot.

Name of the mountains (right to left) are 1) Mt Rausu 1660m, 2) Mitsu Peak 1509m, 3) Mt Sashirui 1564m, 4) Mt Okkabake 1462m, 5) Mt Chienbetsu 1544m and 6) Mt Io 1562m high.

Hiking all the way up on the hill above the ksar will reach this building, and an amazing panoramic viewpoint.

On one side you see a stony desert that stretches into infinity while the other side gives you an overview of the palm grove that lies at the foot of the village. Ait Ben Haddou was used as a filming location for Yunkai during season 3 of Game of Thrones. The city of Yunkai is a slave-trading city that was freed from their slave merchants by Daenerys Targaryen. Since Ait Ben Haddou been a part of Game of Thrones it became even more popular.

El Jadida, is a port city on the Atlantic coast of Morocco, located 100 km south of the city of Casablanca, in the province of El Jadida and the region of Casablanca-Settat. From the sea, El Jadida's old city has a very "un-Moorish" appearance because of its massive Portuguese-built walls of hewn stone, one of the Seven Wonders of Portuguese Origin in the World.

There are so many beautiful scenes that you can see in Plitvice Lakes National Park in Croatia especially if you can view from high elevation. It was bad

to me that I had only half day there and couldn't go higher up to get better vista. This was the one I captured to be my best one over there. The time was around 5pm mid October last year. The sun was low that I was at the shadow side overlooking a footpath along the lake gave a sense of direction and also cast a beautiful reflection on the water. On the other side of the image was full of autumn colour with late afternoon sunlight that pushing out its brilliant foliage.

The Neue Synagoge ("New Synagogue") was built 1859–1866 as the main synagogue of the Berlin Jewish community, on Oranienburger Straße. Because of its splendid eastern Moorish style and resemblance to the Alhambra, it is an important architectural monument of the second half of the 19th century in Berlin.

Although the building is richly ornamented with shaped bricks and terracotta, accented by coloured glazed bricks but I still prefer to convert the image into B/W that gives it more moody feel.

Fireworks at Lake Toya. The Lake Toya Fireworks Display is a popular long-run fireworks display in Japan. During the display, each night there will be hundreds of fireworks exploding over the Lake Toya. It lasts for nearly half a year and is widely liked by tourists. Since the fireworks are placed on the boat that rides on the lake, they can be seen throughout the entire hot spring street hotel and in the open air, which is very romantic.

Milford Sound sits within Fiordland National Park in the southwest of New Zealand’s South Island. The park is part of Te Wahipounamu, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Milford Sound is the jewel of Fiordland National Park – a hidden secret waiting to be discovered.

When you take a boat trip with Cruise Milford, you’ll be getting close to New Zealand fur seals basking on the rocks, massive rock faces rising for hundreds of metres out of the sea and see waterfalls cascade from ancient rainforest high in the mountains.

Despite its name, Milford Sound is actually a fiord, not a sound. It is also the only fiord in New Zealand that is accessible by road. However, its remote location, bounded by steep cliffs and dense rainforest, means its special features remain unspoilt. Rain or shine, Milford Sound continues to captivate even the most experienced traveller with its beautiful surroundings, ink-dark waters, gushing waterfalls and captivating views.

As known, the Lake Tekapo is best location to capture night stars in New Zealand. However, it was a raining night when I've been there in the trip. Tonight, the clear sky with no pollution was tempting me. Here was the image I caputred the sky that seen after dark from Distinction Te Anau Hotel & Villas,Te Anau, New Zealand.

Breathtaking views of Lake Kussharo (屈斜路湖), Japan's largest crater lake.

Winding roads and hairpin bends take you up to Bihoro Pass, a mountain pass and observatory overlooking beautiful Lake Kussharo. Situated at the halfway point between the towns of Bihoro and Teshikaga, this is a great spot to stop, stretch your legs, and admire the panoramic views.

Bihoro Pass (美幌峠) is a pass at about 493 m above sea level in the northwestern side of the Lake Kussharo, and is a popular viewing point with a view of the Lake Kussharo on the mountaintop of Bihoro National Route (National Route 243) connecting Bihoro town and Teshikaga town, and is a shooting place for Japanese movie "What is your name? (君の名は)", too. In Akan Mashu National Park, Bihoro Pass Lookout (美幌峠展望台), Roadside Station "Gurutto-Panorama Bihoro-Toge (ぐるっとパノラマ美幌峠)", a monument inscribed with a song "Bihoro-Toge (美幌峠)" sang by Ms. Hibari Misora, a public restroom and a parking lot are built on the site. A restaurant, a souvenir shop and a restroom are provided at the roadside station, and visitors can take a rest, too. A soft serve ice cream with striped bamboo flavor is popular in particular. Admission free. The parking lot is free of charge.

LOUTRAKI - ΛΟΥΤΡΑΚΙ

Loutraki is a unique, cosmopolitan seaside and spa resort located about 80 km from Athens, to the northern curve of the Corinthian Gulf. It has a fantastic beach about 4 km in length and since 1987 holds continuously the "Blue Flag" of Europe for it's clean waters.

Among the many attractions of Loutraki are its Hydrotherapy Centre, the biggest Casino in Europe and easy access to nearby Ancient sites and Monasteries.

This has been published in 'Digital Photographer Magazine' Ukranian edition, as part of an article talking about lightning!!

This was taken in Rapid City, South Dakota. I have been photographing, or trying to photograph, lightning for many years now. I have got some beautiful shots, but I never had felt like I got THE shot. Well, I feel like I finally got THE shot with this one, now I have to try and one up myself. Actually, I just got lucky here, I have seen a lot of beautiful lightning, but my camera was pointing the wrong way, the evening I shot this their was so much lightning, it didn't matter where I pointed the camera, I was going to get something.

Check it out in B&W

A Japanese was fishing in the morning, standing at the shore of Hyuga-nada Sea. The Hyuga-nada Sea (日向灘 Hyūga-nada) is the part of the Pacific Ocean that lies off the eastern shore of the island of Kyushu, to the south-west of the island of Honshu, off the south coast of Japan. Its name is derived from the former province of Hyūga, which corresponded to the prefecture of Miyazaki before the Meiji Restoration.

I know, I need to plan my travel well in order to get good photos as many other professionals suggested. However, this is just a theory. Other than what I should do, I also limited by the financial luxury and the logistic of my travel plan. One of the uncontrollable factor is the weather. The day we arrived Hokkaido was sunny, then it rained almost 3-4 days. In this condition, I have to take photos with whatever the available lighting condition. Here is another photos under shady ambient light.
