Seaweed ( kelp ) taken during our road trip to Robe, South Australia.
Seaweeds grow in abundance in the oceans, many of which are edible and safe for human consumption.
They have been documented to contain many of the essential nutrients such as omega-3 fatty acids, amino acids, vitamins, minerals, and bioactive compounds.
For many years, seaweeds have also been cultivated and utilized directly as food for humans or as feed to produce food for human consumption.
Since seaweeds grow in many climatic conditions globally, their cultivation has minimal impact on the environment.
Seaweeds are increasingly recognized as a sustainable food source with the potential to play a major role in providing food security worldwide.
Although seaweeds are part of the diet in many Asian countries and some European nations, there are some challenges in terms of their incorporation into the general diet in many places globally.
Innovation in food technology and culinology can help make seaweeds desirable organoleptically to increase their consumption.
Abstract from a book..Seaweeds: a sustainable food source.

Peaceful MBT
We used Google Maps extensively on our recent western state's road trip. The application gives you the main route and also offers a couple of alternative routes. Believe it or not, this dirt road was one of the alternative routes offered. I'm glad we took it.

There are many lovely spots along Bow Valley Parkway in Banff National Park. I captured this freight train about 2 km north of Castle Junction.
Thanks for taking the time to take a look at my pictures. Your views, comments, faves and support are greatly appreciated ツ
a lone Osprey in it's nest awaiting the birth of her chicks. Isn't it amazing the creativity of these birds, and where they choose to build their nest.
The Church are an Australian alternative rock band formed in Sydney in 1980. Initially associated with new wave, neo-psychedelia, and indie rock, their music later came to feature slower tempos and surreal soundscapes reminiscent of dream pop and post-rock. "this unique Sydney-originated entity has purveyed a distinctive, ethereal, psychedelic-tinged sound which has alternatively found favour and disfavour in Australia." The Los Angeles Times has described the band's music as "dense, shimmering, exquisite guitar pop" (from Wikipedia).
Sometime in history, there was here, in what we know as Mérida, Yucatán, México, a worship place for the Mayan god Itzamná, however, Spanish conquerors, built over it a little chapel in 1572 and many years later a temple dedicated to Saint Michel Archangel. At this time, it remains the baptismal font in the restored Church of Itzimná.

Symonds Yat
A short walk from the main viewing area at Symonds Yat Rock is the alternative view point, much quieter, in fact we were the only ones there. The views of the river Wye I thought were actually better from here. In the distance you should be just able to make out the spire of the church in the village of Goodrich, and below in the valley by the side of the river some cows looking very small.

The sun set to the right and behind a ridge not visible in this scene. However, on this occasion, as it dipped below the horizon, the brilliant reds reflected on the clouds above us and again in the water below - making it a lovely alternative to the actual sunset itself.
