Yesterday I took the chance for a snow hike with my daughter in the area of Reit im Winkl - it was just great! The weather was fantastic and the icy cold winterscape was just waiting for us to make our own traces into the virgin snow.

Lake Chiemsee is a freshwater lake in Bavaria, Germany, near Rosenheim. It is often called "the Bavarian Sea".
I wish you a great weekend, my friends!
I took this photo on my tour to the Fellhorn in Tyrol! It was amazing to watch all the flowers that accompanied me the whole trail. In the background you can see the Kaiser Mountains.

The Bergisel Tower in Innsbruck stands 47 meters tall and provides spectacular views. Each year, the refurbished Bergisel Stadium plays host to the annual Four Hills Tournament in January and to a Summer Grand Prix Jumping Event.
Alpine stream in the Mercantour National Park A quiet mountain stream meanders through a golden valley beneath rugged peaks. The dry grasses and soft light hint at late summer, while the rocky slopes and open sky evoke the raw beauty of the Southern Alps. A peaceful moment captured in the heart of nature.
This photo captures a breathtaking view of Lac de Gaube as seen from the Espumouse waterfalls, nestled in the heart of the French Pyrenees near Cauterets. In the foreground, turquoise water cascades over moss-covered rocks, forming a lively stream surrounded by lush pine trees. The scene opens up to reveal the serene blue lake in the distance, framed by steep, forested mountain slopes and rocky peaks. The sky is bright and scattered with clouds, adding depth and clarity to the alpine atmosphere. Taken in autumn, the image reflects the pristine beauty and tranquility of this iconic hiking route, where water, forest, and mountain converge in perfect harmony.
Early Fall or Late Summer...your choice! All I know is that Glacier National Park is absolutely stunning this time of year!
Around the time of the solstice celebrations – also known as Johanni or mountain fires – the weather forecast for the region around Ehrwald, Tyrol (Austria) promised perfect conditions. An ideal opportunity to capture the unique atmosphere of these alpine nights with the camera.
I chose to spend the night bivouacking at around 2,200 meters, just below the summits of Daniel and Upsspitze. There I found a sheltered spot with a wide view, perfect for an overnight stay.
The image shows the ridge leading up to Mount Daniel in the first light of dawn. In the background, the Wetterstein mountains rise, crowned by the striking Zugspitze – Germany’s highest peak.
A deeply moving moment – to witness the beginning of a new day in silence and clear mountain air, surrounded by this majestic alpine landscape.
I shot this photo on the hike from one peak "Seefelder Joch" to another "Seefelder Spitze" in the Karwendel Mountains in Tyrol/Austria. In the upper right corner you can see the summit cross of the peak "Seefelder Spitze".

Yesterday I took the chance for a hike in the Tyrol mountains. The weather was just great and with the new fallen snow, beautiful sunshine and clouds...sometimes with real dark snow clouds.
Here I liked the contrast between the round smooth waves of the snowy hills and the sharp waves of the alpine mountains in the background - it had a little bit of an ocean...
I stitched two 120mm tele photographs together for this winter panorama.

In the foreground, a lush green meadow stretches beneath tall pine trees, while mighty clouds gather above a striking mountain ridge. The contrast between light, shadow, and looming sky gives the scene a majestic tension – caught between calm and storm, summer and awe.

We embarked on the trail descending from the Wiesbadener Hütte (2,443 m), a mountain hut nestled in the Silvretta Alps, to the Silvretta-Stausee (2,030 m), a reservoir, in Vorarlberg, Austria, on a misty and rainy August day. Typically, this trail is renowned for offering breathtaking vistas of the Alpine landscape, providing ample opportunities to capture awe-inspiring panoramas. However, on that particular day, the weather didn't seem to cooperate, shrouding the prospect of such picturesque views in uncertainty. Consequently, I had to invest extra effort in seeking out alternative compositions to document our hike. Here, I present a photograph taken upon our arrival at the Silvretta-Stausee. I opted for an almost abstract composition, focusing on lines, forms, and shapes, as the opposite side of the reservoir was barely visible. — Ischl, Tirol, Austria

Butler Gulch in the Arapahoe National Forest near Empire Colorado is an amazing hike. We had a great afternoon on the trail and when we broke out above tree-line we were greeted with this wonderful field of various wildflowers, The bright red indian paintbrush really caught my attention. After shooting here for a few miniutes the dark clouds came over the mountains and the thunder and lightning started. We ended up going back down and didn’t make the full loop at the top. A great day nonetheless.
No - just alpine flags at the Zugspitze

A dark peak rises from the thick fog, like an island in a white sea. Behind it, the blue mountain ranges stretch out, crowned by snowfields that store water in its frozen form. Clouds, snow, and mist connect sky and earth – the image reveals the many forms of water in the mountains.
