The prospect of slow-cooked food in a woodfire oven had us salivating over traditional roasts and braises, but which perhaps led to our disappointment at Vulcan's, a bustling little restaurant in Blackheath, NSW in the Blue Mountains.
Chalk this experience to flashy Sydney I guess. Or maybe, us Melbournites are too staid, too old-fashioned to appreciate these modern takes on old favourites.

- Vulcans - menufeast.com.au cutomer review: sadly the meal was just average. The duck sausage was overly processed and had no distinguishing flavor. The pot roast was well past the point of being done and had the consistency of baby food with a resulting lack of taste.

AMT: is a long-acting, synthetic psychedelic and euphoric stimulant known for causing nausea and vomiting. It was first developed in the 1960s and remained very uncommon until the 1990s when it experienced a surge in popularity and was scheduled (made illegal in the US) in April 2003. In the late 1960s, αMT was used in England as a legal alternative to LSD and other psychedelics. It was known as Trymene, It is still legal in the United Kingdom, as it does not fall under the tryptamine clause as its substituent is not on the nitrogen position.
Alpha-methyl Tryptamine is a long lasting tryptamine most similar in nature perhaps to LSD. For some people, the effects come on quickly, and for others quite slowly. Many people experience nausea and vomiting with AMT. There is some reason to believe it may work as a mild MAOI.
Oral AMT Dosages:
Threshold - 5 - 15 mg
Light - 10 - 25 mg
Common - 20 - 40 mg
Strong - 30 - 60 mg
Heavy -60 - 80 mg
Onset: 30 - 120 minutes
Peak: 3 - 5 hours
Duration: 10 - 14 hours (higher doses seem to last longer)
Normal After Effects: 1 - 5 hours
Warning! Because AMT's effects can take over 2 hours to fully develop, a common error is to re-dose (add more) thinking that the initial dose was too low. This has led to a number of very unpleasant and potentially dangerous overdose experiences. Those who have made this error recommend waiting until at least 2.5 hours after the initial dose to add more.
