"For 6,000 years, these rules have been unquestionably right. And yet we break them every day. People feel that something is wrong in life. There is some kind of atmosphere that makes people now turn to other values. They want to contemplate the basic questions of life.". -Krzysztof Kieslowski

"Have patience with everything that remains unsolved in your heart. Try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books written in a foreign language. Do not now look for the answers. They cannot now be given to you because you could not live them. It is a question of experiencing everything. At present you need to live the question. Perhaps you will gradually, without even noticing it, find yourself experiencing the answer, some distant day. "

Wasn't too happy with my photos of Cody this week, except for this one. It illustrates perfectly the Cody look. I just love his sideways glance and smile.

I'm giving God the pen to write my love story. :) For my birthday my friend Courtney gave me an awesome book called When God Writes Your Love Story by Eric and Leslie Ludy, and it's about trusting Him, the all-knowing Creator and Sustainer of the universe, to handle your romance life. He is the great Romancer, after all. :) So I'll give Him the pen, because if I take charge I'll surely mess things up. :)

On a recent visit to Houston, I had a chance to visit Rice University. One of the main portals into Rice is called the Sallyport. It bears four faces that I have brought together in this mosaic. In order, they represent:

(1) the immature, giddy freshman, who is thrilled at having made it past the Admissions Committee, no doubt,"

(2) "the all-knowing, all-seeing, and formerly immature freshman, the very mature sophomore,"

(3) the very stern and worried head of the junior student, who still has those requirements to complete. His brow tells the story of his worries," and

(4) "the head of a senior with his mortar board. His face reflects the peace of accomplishment at having completed his degree requirements."

And not in some touching Avatar sort of way. No. Honeybear sees everything you do, have ever done, and ever will do, and he's judging you. Stare into his gaze and tremble!

Strobist:

1 sb600 directly above Honeybear, 1/2 power, 1/2 CTO into 43'' reflective umbrella.

1 sb600 3.5 feet behind Honeybera, 1/2 power, bare, through speed grid.

Triggered with Cactus V4s.

Embroidered during lockdown and could be considered a self portrait.

I did a shoot this weekend with this little girls family and I had a great time and was able to get some great shots. We know this family and my son always says this little girl has all knowing eyes. I think he is right.

Our team consider this site with great potential and main trigger for an economy based on the daily activity and the relationship between its inhabitants, a community park for the use and enjoyment of the many activities that the will be made.Subsequently after several work sessions on our team, we worked on a scheme of nodes and cells to resize the entire area and its integration to the context, we generated flow charts, connections and diagrams to visualize what a space that encompasses multiple functions can be developed on this site. mainly respecting the nature of the park, a space for the community can dialogue, enjoy, have fun, learn and integrate, a Community Park

COHESIVE-ACTIVE-MILTIDIMENSIONAL-GATHERINGPLACE-PUBLIC.

Our proposed for the site development based on these principles that emerge from the “landscape urbanism” from the Theory in Landscape Architecture form Swaffield, as:

1. Working with Nature - Take Them let biological Factors and determine the design while keeping artificially limited details.

2. Enrichment-through complexity - Not just diversity of life – planning and Designing Stability create niches in microenvironments.

3. Landscapes as a process - Designs Should grow-through succession.

4. Creativity on site - Since the site Gives clues to product design, the designer gains inspiration from Development and direct hands on me picture of the earth.

5. Involvement of users - The Absence of a fixed plan Involves public discussion and can evolve to suit future needs. The NEEDS not be allknowing, But A catalyst.

6. Minimal energy consumption -Use local materials and waste sites Maintain. Should Maintenance DECREASE with Time and be Productive landscapes Eventually Themselves.

7. Nature in your front door - With nature management, parks and recreation land use can be reduced.

8. A Need for Conspicuous Sustainability

“Theory of Landscape Architecture” Simon Swaffield

We formed a multidisciplinary team including not only the architectural aspect of our projects, but the various factors that make and integrate any project, including the social factor, urban and environmental. So our interest and scope in participating in this contest is to conduct a thorough analysis of urban and social environment of the area Pruitt Igoe, and propose schemes or strategies that achieve enrich the lives of residents and site users.

We have no connection with the site, only the information we find on the internet, so we consider that it takes a lot more depth in the research area concerning all components of urban and social environment, from its people and their needs, tastes and requirements, the economic level of the area, and the relationship and hierarchy in the context of the city.

After a day of computers being uncharacteristically not-smart, I headed to Orange Beach after work with the smaller camera, which stays with me most days.

My route was Bravo Tacos (awesome place, plus they show off some of my prints), Wolf Bay Park off of Canal, Alabama Point, Gulf State Pier then Billy's Seafood in Bon Secour (which I hope to return to [with permission] for some shots of the shrimp boats soon).

It really wasn't the most productive outing for me. My mojo was off. Might have been the little camera, I might have been in a mood or something but I was feeling oddly "tired of" the same old locations, which I normally don't feel. It might have been the crappy news that Ben, one of the partners of Bravo Tacos died unexpectedly last January. A young guy - decent dude and talented chef, passing away from a needless injury bums me out a bit.

At any rate, this outing the photographers were out in full-force. At the Alabama point Florida side, the usual spots were tied up with photographers shooting families in white polos. The rocks at the pass, mostly. I counted at least 4 distinct groups of people + photographer (amateur or professional / who knows - doesn't really matter).

One that was fun/ unique was at the parking lot of the pass, opposite side of the street from Cobalt Restaurant was this old VW Bus. It caught my eye b/c there was this awesome puddle in the parking lot that formed a really cool reflection shot potential of the bus. My shots didn't work out, though. I didn't have an angle on the bus that wouldn't potentially intefere and these folks were working afterall.

For interested locals, the allknowing Google leads me to believe the photographer with the cool VW Bus angle is Beach Chic Photography: www.facebook.com/pages/Beach-Chic-Photography/13474706989...

Some fun portraits there..

I headed to the Gulf State Pier where I really struggled to find any decent captures. The photographers were all around here as well. A few hundred yards to the east, some people were "all-up-in" the sea oats and dunes in a way that I'm pretty sure isn't cool with the environmentalist types. Around the pilings, the pier, the walkways, I think I counted another 5 groups of people running around doing the beach portrait bit.

Here's my pro tip for anyone looking for beach portraits. Wait until November. It won't be so hot and the opportunities for great compositions are endless because the beaches are almost completely deserted.

Here in this shot, if you'll look to the right, you'll see the unmistakable pose of someone getting their beach / sea oat family portrait on.

Duality (digiital manipulation)

Owl Eyes from the Houston Zoo

I happened to capture this shot (top) which is the sun with a bizarre ring around it. Through the magic of Photoshop, I was able to bring out the colors that are already there (bottom). I sharpened the image and used a few other tools to enhance and bring out what our eye can't naturally see. Otherwise, there has been absolutely no manipulation of the image. The patterns are already there. This is what is really up there looking down on us...

There are no other shots like this one in the world. For those interested, I have the large size of both these photos individually as well as the composite above... This shot is also available on products at www.zazzle.ca/david_stuart

Maybe it's time you begin to see your life propheticly. Where you are now and where you were born, does not mean that's where you will always be. 😃 That God has a major hand in the journey you're life is on. A journey leading you to him, that then redirects you to his chosen destiny for you and finally the destination. You are not an accident and neither is this created universe. 😊 This temporary world was designed for you. Your life was predisigned For God's purpose; even down to you reading this message, right here right now. Knows what's the weather going to be better than the guys on TV. No joke.

Several ancient religions believed that cats are exalted souls, companions or guides for humans, that they are all-knowing but are mute so they cannot influence decisions made by humans.

Illuminati::All-Knowing

The others stayed in the cabin..As I walked up the little pathway to the lakeside, the wind picked up. A heavy branch fell and landed in front of me. I was a little shook up. The air had changed, it was weird. I walked to a clearing and there was this single swan. It was as if it was waiting and on my arrival it started to shimmer and the water began to ripple.. Somehow it was like it wasn't a swan at all.. I can't explain this, but it knew everything... everything.

merely looking at these bright pinks - i have to grudgingly admit it (pink.. puh!) - makes me cheerful.

i've always adored this plants name: see title. have just learned (oh allknowing interweb i praise thee) that they are also called "dutchman's trousers" and however much that image makes me giggle i have to assure you that we do honestly not wear anything remotely resembling this (except my pyjama pants of course.... ;) just kidding.. no really!)
