I've got to stop hanging out in bad neighborhoods. Actually, it was a beautiful morning and this gator was enjoying the sun too. It's a big one, about 8-9 feet long. Mostly, I was photographing birds, but I couldn't resist a few gator shots.

Les alligators sont caractÊrisÊs par un museau plus large que celui des crocodiles. Les deux espèces qui existent ont Êgalement tendance à être de couleur plus sombre, souvent presque noire, mais la couleur dÊpend beaucoup de l'eau. De plus, chez les alligators, seules les dents supÊrieures sont visibles quand ils ferment les mâchoires, au contraire des crocodiles, dont on peut voir les dents supÊrieures et infÊrieures. Toutefois, de nombreux individus prÊsentent des difformitÊs dans les mâchoires, ce qui complique ce moyen d'identification. En moyenne, le poids d'un alligator d'AmÊrique est de 360 kg et sa longueur de 4 mètres.

First we saw him swimming in the very calm pond and the next morning he decided to sunbathe on its shore !

SUNSET ~ Shelf-Cloud ~ Florida Everglades
Palm Beach County, Florida U.S.A. - 6/23/20
I'm going to stay on this 'great-night' for a while, if you don't
mind. I got far too many 'great-keepers' to let them pass and
get buried in the archives. It was the best night of the year
(so far) with its amazing sunset/weather-phenomena and the
shelf-cloud. Only the second shelf-cloud I've ever seen in South
Florida. So bear with me for a little while, and thanks for looking.
