Walborn Reservoir, off Reeder Road.
Walborn Reservoir encompasses more than 1,852 total acres (1,235 in Stark County) and provides the perfect escape for equestrians, hikers, canoeists, and kayakers. Quiet trails travel through pine woods, brushlands, and oak and hickory forests. The reservoir was named for Dale Walborn, the mayor of Alliance from 1963-71, who initiated its construction.

Altered patina on the side of an old building at Ft. Tilden. I think this was an art installation that has withered with the weather. Looks like eyelashes above both windows.
A massive intermodal cut for a future BNSF Z Train gets hauled out of Alliance Yard by a pair of unique ITSX EMDs in Haslet, TX. Leading is ITSX #2839, a former SP SD40T-2 downgraded from SD45 specs, and second is ITSX #4027, an EMD SD39. These intermodal terminal servicing crews regularly work around Alliance Yard throughout the day, with multiple sets assigned to intermodal or autorack duties. If you’d asked me what I’d expect to find when I first researched the DFW area before I moved out here, one of the last things I’d ever think I’d see was a tunnel motor taking the point of an intermodal train (7/1/23).
Kūpaoa
(Dubautia menziesii)
Endemic
Kūpaoa, also called na‘ena‘e, is one of the members of the Silversword Alliance. It can cross-pollinate and hybridize with a nearby ‘āhinahina, creating a plant that manages to look like an exact cross between its parents. Kūpaoa is a smallish, hardy perennial, but somewhat vulnerable to frost. Its soft fragrance was used to scent traditional kapa (bark cloth).
Alliance de papillons telle une poésie ... une scène très rare à capturer ... un moment unique ... sûrement la plus Jolie photo que j'ai pu prendre ...
Well, it should have been named "Small yet cool updates, pt. 2" but I decided to changed it in "The Triple Alliance" because I needed a third fig.
Well from left to right we have a Kaiser Jager with an Edelweiss on his chepi, an early 1915 German soldier with his new hat and P08 and an Italian Ardito with an Adrian helmet and that thing which I don't know the name on his shoulder.
As always tell me what you think!
That's right, this Nebraska roadside attraction is replica of Stonehenge made of cars. Carhenge in Alliance, Nebraska stands at 96 feet in diameter and is made up of thirty eight gray-painted cars (Stonehenge, by contrast is 330 feet in diameter).
My own version of my old Alliance AR. Cheers to Robbe for reminding me of them!

No effects on this picture, Just pure sunlight. I think it turned out quite nicely.
Oh, and hooray for the new Flickr layout! :D
Batumi is an important Georgian sea port and resort city on the eastern shoreline of the Black Sea, known as 'Las Vegas of the Black Sea'. The Alliance Palace, a multifunctional complex including a Courtyard by Marriott Hotel, is seen here beyond and to the right of a sculpture on Juli Shartava Avenue. The Batumi Public Service Hall is seen beyond the sculpture.
