Visiting my friend & her 15 month old. The girls were all on the couch together and I asked them to look up.
Little Bit decided that she needed to put the green cup in her mouth and looked annoyed when her mother asked her to take it out.
Love this and love these girls.
Nothing quite beats getting up early and putting on a cute floral dress and making yourself all pretty for the day ! Sunday Funday !!

Mary “Stormer” Phillips, writer, guitarist and keyboardist of the red-hot Rock group, the Misfits, has written her last lyric, plucked her last string, and tapped her last key in preparation for stardom as a solo artist! It all began one afternoon at Misfits Music Studios, when she presented an instrumental sample for her new song to her bandmates and was hit with a hailstorm of criticism. Though the beat and melody were more in the genre of Pop, Stormer stressed to her girls that a new sound would be good for their image, and also mentioned that Eric wanted a new album by the end of the week. She felt it was time to get serious about their music and tried to convince them once more but, to her dismay, her bandmates rejected the idea with Pizzazz quipping that she had seen “better notes on a tax form!” Not willing to back down so soon, Stormer continued her plea for her bandmates to at least try and open up their minds to a new approach to music. After finishing up with her latest edition of Cool Trash Magazine, Pizzazz, along with Roxy and Jetta, answered back by performing a silly three-part act in falsetto to show just how “serious” they were. Their callous actions and rude comments fumed the sweet-spirited keyboardist, forcing her to walk out of the studio abruptly while exclaiming that the girls never cared about anything she had to say, and that she despised all three! A short time after, Stormer landed herself at The Scene, a performance night club for singers/musicians, and treated herself to a double vanilla cola and a hot fudge sundae, “three scoops with a banana!” While chowing down and enjoying the screeching sounds of the Limp Lizards, she nearly choked when she noticed Holograms keyboardist, Kimber Benton, who was sitting shoulder to shoulder with her the whole time at the bar. Several insults were exchanged and claws began to draw! Then, out of nowhere, the two were thrusted on stage and into the spotlight where they decided to perform their future hit, “I'm Okay!” It didn't take long before the girls formed a partnership together, and they eventually started off on a mini tour with talks of a new album in the works. Over yonder, at Pizzazz's mansion, the rowdy rockers caught wind of the news about Kimber and their ex-bandmate by tuning into VTV cable network, and decided to put a stop to her shenanigans as soon as possible! Pizzazz was livid and felt defeated. So, with Roxy and Jetta, she hopped in her rockstar tour van and floored the gas pedal all the way to Stormer's recent concert to get answers! Upon walking in, the three Misfits took one look at their keyboardist and pounced on stage in an attempt to dissuade her from continuing to perform. Moments in, Jem and the Holograms showed up and rushed the opposite side of the stage with claims that the Glam-metal keytarist was too much of a rebel and would land her in serious trouble. Now closed in between both bands, Stormer and Kimber screamed out that they were obligated to perform and preferred working together...and nobody was going to stop them...NOBODY! Jem just couldn't take one more minute of her sister's drama, so she decided to exit the building, but Pizzazz refused to leave quietly and began shouting to the top of her lungs that, without the Misfits, Stormer would never make it, and that she would come crawling back. The following day, before their voice session, at Flash Recording Studios, the two girls happened in on a phone conversation between Eric Raymond and his recording engineer who was confirming a dirty deed that was sure to foil the debut of their album. Only then did Stormer and Kimber notice the bigger picture and wondered how they would survive Eric's wrath. On the opposite end, Pizzazz was doing damage control by coaxing her ex-bandmate to rejoin the group, and presented her with a flashy red Porsche, unlimited credit cards, and a trip to the House of Glamor. Stormer was back!...lock, stock, and music! Even though their partnership came to an end, the girls were bounded by law to perform due to their contract with Eric and risked losing part of Starlight Music if they didn't cut the entire record. Stormer hadn't the slightest clue as to what to do, but Kimber knew exactly where to turn for assistance and asked Mary to start the car and point it towards Starlight Mansion so that she could apologize to her sister and the Holograms for her behavior. As Jerrica reached inside the refrigerator for a cool beverage, she promised her sister that all was forgiven, and agreed to help package and promote their album. Jem took over from there, producing enough local and international fanfare to propel the record straight to Number One on the charts during its first week release! No sooner than celebrating their success did the Misfits appear groveling at the feet of their star lyricist to come back to the group, and admitting that they needed her to complete the band. Eventually, Stormer caved and decided to give them a second chance while demanding equal partnership and respect. On that very day, the Holograms and the Misfits made big changes within their groups, deciding once and for all to listen to each other and respect their views on what may or may not be best, both lyrically and musically. Throughout their time touring, traveling, shopping and performing together, Stormer and Kimber had become dear friends, and have maintained a long-standing friendship that exists today!
There was something extremely catchy about all four 2016 On-Stage Summer Exclusives, and many will agree that the bar and tone were set pretty high for what was to come from Integrity Toys' Jem! Most of us anticipated what was known as a fan-inspired celebration, a celebration that produced several flashy fashions from the show, through Integrity Toys, and directly into our homes. Riot received the royal treatment, Kimber radiated with pinks, reds and golds, and Pizzazz dazzled with just her eyes alone! It's now one year later and all four dolls have remained relevant. As for this gift set, it's fair to say that the Design Team had their own vision as to how Mary should look, and I'd say that they hit the nail on the head exactly! With this new release, Stormer gets her very own backstage dressing room while the other two Misfits are forced to share close quarters with the Acid Queen! I recall that memorable day when I bought my first wave Stormer Phillips doll, and I was actually very excited to purchase this second version of her as well! The Design Team repeated the texture of Stormer's super curly blue hair, which seems a bit more fuller than usual. Also, her signature flower is available for decorating her big and bold tresses. I've always adored her face sculpt. Just like every other doll in the collection, she looks exactly as she appears in the show, particularly in “The Bands Break Up!” Mary now has thin blue, highly-arched eyebrows and looks more serious with a straightforward glare! The makeup sure is bright enough for a Misfits doll, but suits only Stormer, of course. Ms. Consideration decided on a fair coverage of light yellow “Happy-Go-Lucky” highlighter across her brow bones, and a thick, oval-shaped wing of fluorescent “Supernova” yellow that covers the creases of her eyes and travels outward and around under her lash lines. Then, with her orange “Settin' Sun” eyeshadow, she went in and swept her eyelids twice, then dragged the color down around her tear ducts and along the inner corners of her lash lines. Both eyes are defined with winged-out “Raisin' Teetotal Hell” black eyeliner, her cheeks are patted with “Open Your Heart” rose blush, and her lips are coated with red “Fahrenheit” lipgloss! She's kept her orange zigzag design on the left (her left) side of her cheek, along with three orange scratch marks across her right cheek. And her nails are finished with red “Hot to Trot” nail polish. As far as wardrobe is concerned, I am particularly in favor of her light purple dress. There's such a cutesy, charming essence to the purple number, so cute in fact that her appearance reminds me of the iconic “Like a Virgin” era! The material has a sparkling light violet glow with a thin layer of lace underneath. Her legs are wrapped in a pair of shiny dark purple tights, her feet sit in a pair of pink socks with light purple polka dots, and she's standing tall in a shiny pair of dark purple heels—all three items look GREAT! Accessories sometimes run a bit short with the Jem dolls, but this set comes with its fair share of fashionable contents. Inside her dressing room, on her table sits a pair of pink oval-shaped earrings, her pink beaded necklace, pink silver-lined cuff bracelet, her pink belt with light purple polka dots and matching pink hair band! This talented artist has packed everything, even a few hangers and an extra neon green stool to kick off her Summer tour!
Admittedly, the pros for this set barely outweigh the cons and I think that it's important to acknowledge every aspect. I will now turn the tables and briefly summarize all that's WRONG with this set! For starters, one major con, in general, is Stormer's red dress that Integrity provided as an alternative outfit. I remember feeling blindsided by the debut of this dress, and I can't say that they were utterly successful with their execution, no, because utter success would have produced Jetta's dress as well! Integrity then created Stormer's “I'm Okay” outfit several months later and it looks great—easily a personal best! But, once again, the need for a new “free frock” gimmick was obviously too good to ignore because the Design Team chose to add the alternate outfit with the first wave doll that's still in inventory at Integrity Toys, knowing full well that “I'm Okay” should have made its original debut with THIS set instead! Usually it's easy to forgive such a blunder, then quickly you realize another troubling mishap, the exclusion of two very important pieces to her outfit: HER BOOTS! Stormer's boots symbolize the overall tone of solitude and rebellion, thus categorizing the entire outfit a rare one-of-a-kind! There's no doubt that the creation process would prove to be one serious challenge for any Jem doll. However, I do believe that the passion to reimagine and redesign should have automatically prevailed! I'm guessing instead of a flat surface, maybe it would have been possible to design both boots with a heel-lift inside. The ultimate option, of course, would have been to recreate an all-new Stormer Phillips doll with the Fashion Royalty flat foot construction. Unlikely idea, I know, although you must admit that such a doll would outshine any other ever created in the collection. One thing's for sure, The Bands Break Up Stormer gift set is far from perfection, but, with all its faults, it deserves to be commended in similar fashion as its counterparts!
All in all, I am very pleased to own this particular version of my blue-haired, good-hearted bada**! 💙
With the addition of Maria de los Muertos on drums it would seem that the line up for my all-girl Prodigy tribute band, In Like Flint, is finally complete.
Along with Mandrogynous on vocals and Introverdent on keyboard I've now got a bona fide girl band with enough firepower to take on the mighty Red Hot Chilli Poppers. The world of tribute bands will never be the same once I get these girls on the road...

A storm began to brew around the perimeter of Starlight Mansion, and a tornado ripped through all in the size of one petite keyboardist—Kimber Benton! After enjoying a beautiful afternoon lunch together, Jerrica and the Holograms set forth to their rehearsal room, adjacent their workout room, to come up with a few ideas for a new hit. Aja mentioned that the song on the flip side of their next single should be uptempo, but Kimber disagreed and proposed a slow ballad instead. Shana and Raya agreed that a faster beat and a stronger rhythm would sell better, and then Jerrica declared that Kimber was outvoted four to one. The fact that her sisters refused to listen to the lyrics she wrote began to take its toll. Now transformed with the help of her red star earrings, Jem continued that the matter was just not up for discussion and their next album was already past due. Then suddenly, while jamming out to an instrumental, the girls changed their minds and decided that a good love song would be best. At that point, the jam session had reached new heights with Aja and Shana strumming away on both guitars, Jem shuffling from side to side with some trendy dance moves, and Raya banging furiously on drums! Still, Kimber felt invisible. After a brief exchange of words with Jem, the pressure cooker exploded the second Aja remarked that she's a kid and that they have authority over her! Instead of giving her sisters a good what-for, Kimber reflexively kicked her keyboard over, knocking the high-priced machine on its back, and stormed out of the session! Seeking solace from the storm, she soon found herself at the popular performance night club, The Scene. With her back to the bar and eyes at the stage, Kimber embraced her surroundings and began to drown her sorrows in one of the most peachiest, extra thick milkshakes on either side of California! Then a sudden racket from the right grabbed her attention, so she turned her head to check it out. To her surprise, it was Misfits keyboardist, Stormer Phillips, who had arrived a second after she turned to the stage. The two began to hurl insult after insult with Stormer asking if Jerrica allowed her out after 4:30 pm, followed by Kimber advising her to go play in traffic! Then, out of the blue, the two were ambushed by the hostess to perform on stage for their fans. Because of their fame as Pop/Rock stars, Kimber and Stormer found the transition to perform together pretty easy and less chaotic than working with their respective bands. Together on stage, yet far apart, the two stars couldn't refrain from snubbing each other while performing, unbeknownst to them, their first hit, “I'm Okay!” Later that night, in her room while perched at her vanity mirror, applying an ample amount of pink eyeshadow and fluffing her hair, Kimber had finally found a moment of peace and privacy until Jerrica walked in and questioned her silence. As she continued to brush her layered mane, Kimber exclaimed that she had nothing to say and didn't want to deal with unwarranted drama. The conversation veered to the left when Jerrica began to dig deeper with questions regarding her whereabouts and destination. Once again, Kimber responded defensively, hopping off her seat and standing face to face with Jerrica while claiming that her big sister didn't really care about her! She then rushing out to the walkway where she was greeted by Stormer. In the weeks to come, Kimber and Stormer embarked on a musical career together, eventually kicking off a mini tour and recording a few songs for their new album. But it was only a matter of time before Jem and the Holograms discovered the truth about her disappearing act. All of the pieces fell into place one night while the band was watching the Lin-Z Pierce show with her two guest stars, Kimber and Stormer, who were discussing their new sound and promoting their debut album “Back to Back!” Now overly concerned about her younger sister's antics, Jem, along with the Holograms, attended her concert with the hope of persuading her to open her eyes and realize the truth about her new partner. The Misfits were also in attendance and, surprisingly enough, AGREED! Kimber, scantly dressed, stood her ground and screamed out that she no longer wanted anything to do with the Holograms, and Stormer had the same conversation with her bandmates as well! Unable to bear another second, Jem gave up and walked off stage. The following morning while rummaging through Kimber's belongings, Jerrica found an ironclad contract that claimed if her sister failed to produce a hit record, then her half of Starlight Music would go directly to the scheming record executive of Misfits Music, Eric Raymond! A second later, Kimber casually walked in the room dismissing all doubt and assured Jerrica that she would have a hit record. Later that day, the two famous keyboardists were faced with the hard truth concerning their joint contract while at Flash Recording Studios. As the two musicians made their way to the recording room, they were met by a conversation between Eric and his recording engineer who were both discussing plans over the phone to prevent the release of their debut album! It was at that moment when reality slowly sunk in and Kimber and Stormer soon realized that finishing their album would take more effort than they anticipated. Several days later, Kimber arrived solo at the studio to complete the voice session, and also to find Stormer so that she could lay down her voice track, but she received a handwritten note instead and quickly learned that her gal pal had in fact rejoined the Misfits! In shame, Kimber was forced to visit Eric with bad news regarding her partner's departure, and revealed that she couldn't finish the record without her help. Her misfortune was Eric's gain as he began to grin like a Cheshire cat at the possibility of reclaiming his share of Starlight Music and adding on to his business empire. With his fists clenched, he prepared himself for the hostile takeover! Just then, his office door flung open and that smile of his cracked in two, when Stormer entered with the master copy of their entire album. The superstar sweetheart made it her duty to prove that their friendship didn't occur in vain and that she really cared about her good friend. Dazed and amazed, Eric slammed on the breaks and reminded the girls that unless the record's a hit, Starlight Music Studios would belong to him! So, with Stormer at her side, Kimber drove back to the mansion and explained the situation to Jerrica, along with a heartfelt apology for her attitude. At first, the album stalled on the charts, but thanks to some clever marketing from Jem, Aja, Shana and Raya, their LP skyrocketed to Number One on Billboards Top 100, and went on to double platinum success with a full article in Ramblin' Rock, Variance, Rock Age Weekly, and Cool Trash Magazine! While working together, Stormer and Kimber learned a lot about each other, and even more about life!
I haven't really had the time to do a brief review on the last two gift sets that I acquired several months ago, so I figured I'd go ahead and begin with Kimber's gift set. Initially, I was not expecting Integrity to create this version, but then again, that's the whole point. Both versions are greatly appreciated and both outfits are two of my personal favorites! For this set, Kimmy has switched her dark red hair color to fluorescent red, and boy does it shine! The bright hue looks incredibly stunning with her French-colored skin tone and brightens up her high-style image! Just off the record, those episodes from Season One, particularly “Starbright, Part One”, “Hot Time in Hawaii”, and “The Princess and the Singer”, where her skin appears in tan tone are, in my opinion, some of her best, most stunning appearances in the show! I've always thought that she looked as though she had spent some quality time basking in the sun, an idea I'm sure the animators conceived and incorporated into the show. The pink tones of her makeup smolder from every angle of her face and truly define her look in the show, starting with her light blue eyebrows, both of which sit fine against her skin tone and give off that relaxed “vacation” look. Maybe she wanted to switch it up for Summer and simply went wild with the eyebrows tweezers lol! Love 'em! Kimber was conscious of her beach tan, when she chose the colors for her eyes, opening her ultra shimmer eyeshadow palette and settling with a heap of pink “Outrageously Outré” shadow to cover her brow bones, all the way around to the outer sections and landing just above her cheeks! Her blue “Shellshock” eyeshadow shows up real thick on her eyelids and sparkles under her tear ducts as well. One basic shade is never enough for Kimmy, so she embellished the creases of her eyelids with a three-dimensional combination of pink “Curiosity” eyeshadow, and a thin, but bold line of red dust in “Private Number!” Yes, her cosmetics are smokin'! With her shadows set in place, she then ran her black “Beautifully Bankrupt” eyeliner across the top and bottom of both eyes, then winged it out—Egyptian style! Using her expensive blush brush, she blended her hot pink “Tunnel of Love” rouge on her cheeks just right, and then out came her extravagant tube of glittering pink lipgloss, in “Pink Patagonian Panther”, a high-class brand of gloss that even Jem doesn't own! Kimber's outfit is the talk of the town, especially in local fashion stores where every teen girl is desperately searching high and low for at least a knockoff version! The first piece is her shiny yellow dress shirt with gold metallic designs. Next, her matching shiny yellow pants and shimmering gold heels. I can't get over this outfit. The details are impressive! It appears as though Kimmy had a blast abusing her VISA during a long and well-deserved shopping spree at New Wave Neiman's! The accessories in her collection are terribly expensive and are protected by her bodyguard while stored away in a secret compartment inside her dressing room. She has a long, three-layered gold chain necklace with gold beads, a shiny gold belt with gold buckle, and two double-studded gold earrings!
Next up is the sexy, the sultry, Bad Kimber! Dare I admit that I am hypnotized by the sight of her fiery orange ratted do? I do lol! WoOoW! What a major change from her signature red hair! Once again, Integrity's interpretation of her bad-girl alter ego is remarkably similar to her 15 second appearance, in “The Bands Break Up!” From the most minuscule details to those that are in your face, the members of the Design Team rarely ever leave one stone unturned with the Jem collection, and her makeup is further proof of their consistent success. The end result looks rather drastic, but that's to be expected with this doll. Originally Synergy's creation, Bad Kimber rocks a set of thin, brown, Misfits-inspired eyebrows this time around, and that's very much true with her wild, fierce stage paint she's applied, covering every inch of her adorable face! From her “G.L.O.W.” cosmetics collection, Vixen “The Back-Breaker” Benton began with a double slap of deep, shimmery purple eyeshadow to the wide open spaces above her eyelids, and marked the creases of her eyes with her bluish-purple “Live Wire” eyeliner. To dress up her baby blues, she's smeared on a few swipes of frosty blue “Lady Ice” eyeshadow across her eyelids and under both lash lines, painted her eyes with black “Cities in Dust” liquid eyeliner, and tapped her cheeks with “Backhanded Blackout” blush! After an hour spent in front of the mirror perfecting her red face paint with her “Flamin' Tears” kryolan pencil, Vixen took a brief minute to reapply a fresh coat by tracing an outline on the outer edges of her eyes, then dragging the paint upward to the tips of her eyebrows, trailing back down onto her cheeks and filling it all in! And she couldn't possibly forget to refresh her lips with her sizzling red “Salivating Sin” lipgloss! I am a firm believer in authenticity, and if it's at all possible to recreate a certain outfit from the show and give it life, then give it a go! My theory is set in stone when it comes to the Jem collection, for as I'm sure we all know, an outfit could either be a hit or a miss. Let's just say that the Design Team has had more hits than misses! The Bad Kimber outfit is yet another flawless elaboration from head to heels and is considered to be an independent hit! I'll admit that her clothing looks a bit risqué for a Jem doll. I mean, it doesn't get any naughtier than her tiger-print bustier! And those “Pretty Woman” thigh-high heel-boots?!?!...OWWW! Vixen's tight, shiny blue pants fit her real well, and I love the color! The red scarf for her thigh and the orange gauntlet for her arm proves what I mentioned earlier regarding small/large details, and I'm happy to have both with this doll! She's covered literally from her head down to her feet with accessories. I'm talking gold blinging and hanging over here, and silver buckles fastened over there! She wears a short gold beaded necklace, a pair of gold circular drop earrings, one silver bracelet, and a thick and thin black bracelet! She's also sporting a gold arm bracelet. If you think that's the extent of it, then you couldn't be more wrong! Vixen's most awesome accessories, and perhaps her sexiest, are four leather items that she wears with pride: her black silver-studded neck-choker, and her three black belts, one super wide with a huge silver buckle, the other medium-sized with silver studs, and another medium-sized with silver holes embedded along the strap! I tell you, this outfit alone makes all four Misfits look like charm school goody two shoes lol!
We are coming up on the finale of Jem, and even though I'm pretty much pleased with the wardrobe from this line, it's still annoying to know that I will never get the chance to see one of my absolute favorite outfits from Kimber's wardrobe, her (Le Klub Kool) light blue jean jacket, matching mini jean skirt, and white heel-boots, from “The Stingers Hit Town, Part One.” One can only dream, I guess. You know, there are moments in time that call for an appropriate display of public praise, and I know of several dolls from the collection that qualify. So kudos to the Design Team on a job well done! With all that said, there are absolutely zero complaints on my part. And it's safe to say that I am completely satisfied with every aspect of this set!
Three words only: HOT, HOT, HOT! ♨️
