During its short life Ragweed can wreak havoc among those who are sensitive to it, with each plant producing up to a billion pollen grains...

As this grand old Live Oak tree reaches for the sky, the eruption of new growth at it’s extremities fulfills the promise of life that comes with each spring.

I appear to have found the only Robin with a peanut allergy.... Or maybe it doesn't like this brand of peanut butter.

Macro Mondays -Danger

Peanut allergies are very dangerous. Please find out information on food allergies.

I do not have any allergies but know people who do.

Thank you.

Happy Spring Equinox my friends

i actually got burnt in the sun and now lots of tree pollen allergies . ..bring back winter . LOL

This Moʻai figure will cause a small wind storm if he is allowed to sneeze. Off to Costco for some bulk Claratin.

This face was actually being transported in a pick-up truck to a party on Vancouver Island.

My allergies are killing me, I keep feeling like I'm coming down with a cold, but nothing about the way I "feel" says that. It's only late at night, like now that I feel crappy. My poor nose is raw from my cheap kleenex....stupid CVS generic brand! I'm buying the ones with the aloe added tomorrow!

I worked on my weekend off so I'm overly pooped. That's OK though, I know that in a few weeks, I'll be relaxing on a white sand beach soon.

I asked lil unicorn if he wanted to take an allergy tablet before we went out exploring today, and he revealed to me that unicorns don't have allergies ... of any kind! Wow! I always thought I was a unicorn (naturally) but hearing this made it clear to me that I am not. I live in the south, land of perpetual warm/hot weather, including my oft bragged about mild winters. And for this reason, there is always something triggering some sort of pesky allergy attack ... that said, I'll take my mild winters any day over the blizzards that many other places deal with. And I'll keep my Benadryl supply topped up!

Happy Tuesday, everyone ... I hope the beauty of spring is starting to surround you all ... well, those friends who I share this hemisphere with at least! Sending tons of love! 💕❤️

Perhaps a bitter pill to swallow. Grand daughter Livia is allergic to the dog, so anytime she is over she needs help with that. When got them out I said...."wait a sec" and got the camera.

This is my first photo taken with my new Nikkor 200-500 mm lens. Impressed so far.

Both my wife and I have been having running noses since last week. When we walked across this canyon, we figured out why.

AKA Mountain Cedar, as in cedar "fever", the seasonal allergy that afflicts so many Central Texans...

The other day, I took a little longer than usual getting out of the car when I got home from work. For some reason, I didn't swing the car door wide open like I normally do - and lucky thing. Jimmy was sitting on the pavement right there next to the car waiting for me to get out. On a cold, windy winter day, I had no idea there would be anyone waiting outside to welcome me home. What a true friend.

On a different note - if you zoom in, you can see the scabs around Jimmy's left eye. He has since gotten a long lasting steroid injection that should give his skin some relief for 2-3 months. I hate what steroids can do to the rest of his body but they sure do clear up his skin.

ELS 501 sits north of Green Bay awaiting a down tree to be removed on a warm summer day. The tracks are covered in a weed called ragweed on the ELS mainly between Crivitz and Green Bay making for some mighty sinus problems.

The trail through this Michigan forest almost looks covered in snow in June.

Flowering goldenrods are a sign that cooler fall weather is not far away.

Allergy causing ragweed is a leafy, green plant whereas goldenrod is a wildflower with bright yellow flowers.

So, I am finally back, sort of. After coming down with a condition called Costochondritis (Inflammation of soft tissue around ribs and sternum) from inhaling mold from the inside of an abandoned car, then discovering I have an acute allergy to dust as well, I am on an adventure to reshape my life health wise.

Now, about the photo, after watching a video, one of those top ten vids on YT, about dark things discovered on the internet (check out channel: Lazy Masquerade), it got me thinking about the many days during my younger years, my twenties and early thirties, when I DID view such extreme material frequently and why? I believe it was to do with drowning out my existing trauma, but viewing such extreme and graphic footage as well as invoking emotions in me, also spurred on by addiction, that also operated as a form of Self Injury (the emotional form).

It is quite common for those who have suffered such trauma(s), to seek extremes of things to essentially awaken something inside. It is in a bizarre way, one who is traumatised, essentially relives the trauma through invocation of extreme emotions, brought on this way.

If anyone finds themselves in this dilemma, please consider looking into yourself as to what it is that fuels these negative desires, that is something you need to cure. For me, I discovered this type of viewing simply left me feeling depressed and it weakens the soul, as is with thinking alcohol helps you hod on, it is a false therapy and does more harm than good, so I gave it up. Permanently!

I hope everyone is well and so as always, thank you.

The pollen is everywhere, covering everything it can find in a thick coat of that yellow stuff! Can you say Achoo?

In spite of the high count of tree pollen in our area, we dared to venture out to a nearby arboretum to enjoy the first weekend of spring with its beautiful, sunny weather.

Only recently started suffering with these nasty allergies Omg don't they make your eyes run, your nose itch and then someone gives you flowers, you smile politely say thank you then and dash for the antihistamines and a box of tissues lol

This was going to be a joint post with Starr but things went wrong so here I am suffering on my own..
