My allergies are killing me, I keep feeling like I'm coming down with a cold, but nothing about the way I "feel" says that. It's only late at night, like now that I feel crappy. My poor nose is raw from my cheap kleenex....stupid CVS generic brand! I'm buying the ones with the aloe added tomorrow!

I worked on my weekend off so I'm overly pooped. That's OK though, I know that in a few weeks, I'll be relaxing on a white sand beach soon.

Oak catkins at 1:1 macro. the male pollen structures produced by oak trees, driven and airborne by the wind to fertilize the female flowers. Here in Florida, the pollen ends up covering everything outside, because oak trees have a long period of pollen production.

So be careful allergy sufferers in Spring and stay indoors during high pollen count and plan outdoor activities for late afternoon, or after it rains.

I asked lil unicorn if he wanted to take an allergy tablet before we went out exploring today, and he revealed to me that unicorns don't have allergies ... of any kind! Wow! I always thought I was a unicorn (naturally) but hearing this made it clear to me that I am not. I live in the south, land of perpetual warm/hot weather, including my oft bragged about mild winters. And for this reason, there is always something triggering some sort of pesky allergy attack ... that said, I'll take my mild winters any day over the blizzards that many other places deal with. And I'll keep my Benadryl supply topped up!

Happy Thursday, everyone! I hope this week has been overflowing with lots of your favorite things, and of course, with as few springtime allergies as possible!

I had the great joy of spending an evening literally filled with laughter and fun with my gorgeous, mega creative, sassy and brilliant very dear friend, Sparkle! Miss Sparkles is a super KooL edgy glam Cali girl to her core, and I am a Georgia southern belle through and through, but thanks to the magic of the online realms Sparks and I met a long while back and have become close friends, and for that, I could not be more grateful.

Here we are on the farm, being luscious lushes (we are expert level at this) and marveling at how cute we make bleary-eyed tipsy look as we pose for one of Sparkle's famous drunk selfies! No driving after vodka and tequila! But posing is always appropriate and allowed! Thank you for always being so gracious and kind and generous, Sparks. I love you bunches!

ELS 501 sits north of Green Bay awaiting a down tree to be removed on a warm summer day. The tracks are covered in a weed called ragweed on the ELS mainly between Crivitz and Green Bay making for some mighty sinus problems.

The trail through this Michigan forest almost looks covered in snow in June.

My poor little boy is so sad.He has had a best friend in the other house for some time, but now she threw him out because someone in a different apartement compained about him and he does not understand allergies and other human stuff.Sad little boy.

Only recently started suffering with these nasty allergies Omg don't they make your eyes run, your nose itch and then someone gives you flowers, you smile politely say thank you then and dash for the antihistamines and a box of tissues lol

As you may know, Jimmy has allergies to all sorts of unknown things and is currently having severe reactions. I took these pictures the day before yesterday when I brought him to work. He'd already had a long-acting steroid injection three weeks earlier that was supposed to give him some relief for three months. He got a second, shorter-acting steroid injection that day. So far, there is possibly a little improvement to his skin but not as much as any of us were hoping for.

The area between the ears and the eyes is a common place for cats to have lesions associated with food allergies. I have recently added wet food to the cats' diet because I'm trying to help Jimmy and Mack lose weight to decrease their chances of becoming diabetic. Food is something I've tried to control very carefully for most of their lives specifically because of Jimmy's allergies to who-knows-what, but because of a miscommunication, I thought the wet food we were adding had already been "tested" in the past and hadn't caused any problems for him. This turns out not to be the case. Cross your fingers that something as simple as cutting out all food other than the Hill's C/D and T/D that Jimmy has been eating for years will be the solution to this latest allergic reaction!

I inserted the close up of Jimmy's sores so you wouldn't have to see them full size. The lesions are between the eyes and the ears which is why you don't see them when looking at Jimmy straight on.
