This shows how the iCan TLUD is nested inside the Weber charcoal lighter.
The draft in this set up is strong and the burn is hot and relatively fast. Biochar produced passes the soap test easily -- rinses off without soap.
Biochar production averaged over two runs is 21.2% of the fuel by weight or about 42.4% of the carbon in the fuel.

A one gallon iCan TLUD, even with just 40 oz of wood pellet fuel in it, a quart and 1/3, has a great deal of energy that comes out as a very vigorous flame AND, when quenched in water, produce a burst of live steam.
IF you want to do a water quenching of a large iCan, be sure that the tool you will grab the very hot iCan with has a significant OFFSET from the top of the iCan so that the live steam burst will not hurt you. Also, for this size can you MUST wear heavy gloves as an extra layer of protection when handling the hot iCan.
NEVER let a young person quench a one gallon iCan TLUD!
Please ALWAYS be VERY CAREFUL when dealing with iCans larger than a pineapple can. All iCan TLUDs must always be handled with a great deal of respect and care. There is a great deal of energy in biomass and it can hurt you if you are not careful.

If you do get burned, you might want to try putting some grass biochar, saturated with cold water, on the burn. It worked very well for me.

三仙台位於台東縣成功鎮東北方，為台灣東部知名的觀光景點，地形上為火山岩所構成，最早為岬角地形，因海水侵蝕而成為離岸小島，島上有三座小山峰，傳說八仙中的呂洞賓、李鐵拐、何仙姑曾登臨此島而得名，目前被列為被列為自然保護區。
三仙台和本島之間由八拱大橋所連接，因岩石受風化及海蝕作用，產生海蝕溝、海蝕柱、海蝕凹壁等地形。從橋墩上跨海而過，再循棧道環島一週，可一覽其中的合歡洞、蝙蝠洞、仙劍峽等景觀，碧海白浪，珊瑚礁岩，於巨蛟般橋樑上觀賞浪濤奇岩的海濱氣勢。

台東市-小野柳
小野柳位於東海岸風景區景點的最南端，富岡漁港北方，距離台東市區約6公里，以單斜脊、蜂窩岩、龜陣岩、豆腐岩、蕈狀岩等各種景象綺麗奇岩怪石著稱，宛如天然雕刻公園，令人目不暇給，造型多變的海蝕景觀酷似北海岸的野柳，因而得名小野柳。
東海岸風景區管理處設置的小野柳遊客服務中心，內有自然地質展示館，介紹小野柳特殊的地質景觀及海岸山脈形成與演進的過程，以及東海岸的旅遊資訊，是身歷其境小野柳生態特色前必訪之地。東管處在小野柳設有遊客服務中心，從遊客服務中心往小野柳的海邊步道，沿線遍生白水木、林投、黃槿、海棗等海濱植物，海邊則是奇岩密佈的天然石雕公園。
小野柳地層由厚層砂岩及薄層頁岩交互沈積形成，稱為砂頁岩互層。從地質上解釋，基本上是一塊很大的外來岩塊，由於砂岩和頁岩的軟硬不同，在海水長期侵蝕作用下，外貎上形成規則起伏，岩層面的節理也出現非常清晰的幾何線條，配合海的律動和藍天的變化，形成特殊的自然景觀令人嘆為觀止，是坐臥靜思，觀海聽濤、賞魚戲水、看寄居蟹打架和尋找熱帶魚的好去處。天氣晴朗時，遙望東邊可以清楚看到32公里外的綠島，也可在海邊露營區紮營，享受浪漫的夜晚。
距離台東市區僅約6公里的小野柳，是與富岡港串聯成台東近郊半日遊或一日遊的最佳旅遊點。

The Digilent Electronics Explorer board (EE board) includes all of the test and measurement equipment needed to design, build, and test analog and digital circuits of all types. Built around a large solderless breadboard, the EE board includes a 4-channel mixed-signal USB oscilloscope, waveform generator, variable power supply, voltmeter, reference voltage generator, and thirty-two digital signals that can be configured as a logic analyzer, pattern generator, or any one of several static digital I/O devices. All of these instruments can be connected to circuits built on the solderless breadboards using simple jumper wires.

There's a reason you can't hear anyone and it will be explained in a moment!
Once everyone is onboard the ship there's usually a sail away party on the pool deck to get people in a festive mood but today it just wasn't working.
What you need to remember is that the folks on the ship have just spent the day either on a tour of the countryside or wandering about in a strange country. They've been exposed to a lot of heat and humidity, something that they're not at all used to back home. It takes a moment (and some alcohol) to get people back in the ship party mode.
This fellow, part of the ship's entertainment crew, was trying to get people up to dance but they weren't having it. Take a look at my next shot and you'll see what I'm talking about!
Niccy and I just got back from a 2 week cruise down in the Caribbean, a trip that was supposed to be in the UK but thanks to the whole covid fiasco that was not meant to be. We were on the P&O Britannia and as we quickly found out we were the only Americans aboard! We had a good time, got to see some new ports and enjoyed the weather.
