Today is a green day at Color My World Daily. I must admit, this is one of my favorite colors and favorite days.
My today’s inspiration is autumn and old books. Fall in Montreal is truly beautiful and I love to see all the amazing colors… Being a hoarder I already have an amazing collection of leaves for my pictures…so many leaves so little time for pictures…

Isn’t that a green day at Color my world Daily, today ? Yes, it is my friends ! And you all know by now how much I love green days (almost as much as i love eggs and gin and tonic lol).
So today we have another old book from my collection. I love the color and the texture of the paper on this one. It is super thick and very soft. My book is an old dictionary. I hope you like it as much as I do !

Today is a green day at Color my World Daily. And, as we all know by now, I love green day ! I’m not talking about the music band (which I dont dislike…) but about the color. Right now in Montreal, there is almost no green left… We had some snow few days ago but it is all gone by now… so everything is grey and super cold (but dont worry, it wont last. I have a feeling that we will have snow very soon … ). Yesterday it was around -20 celsius and it was rather windy …I’m truly happy to work from home !! And I’m looking forward to Christmas holidays (next week !! Yes !!)!

Today is a green day at Color My World Daily. And that is the only inspiration for today’s picture.
Right now, I’m in the middle of another (obsession) personal project: scanning all my old family pictures…. It is a tedious task and it is very, very addictive (lets hope my addiction will last at least as long as needed for all my pictures !!) !! So I’m very grateful for my photo archives, this way I can post a green picture and still take time for my new project !!

Hello my amazing Flickr friends !!
Today we celebrate a green day at Color my World Daily. And since it was a very, very long time that we had seen a picture of a pencil here, I think we all need to see one. Yes, I know, I know I have a very severe pencil obsession … Especially green tiny pencils !
As you can see, I had to use my sharpener a lot for this picture… some pencils were already perfect. However I only a had a few greens so it took me some time
and a huge blister on my finger from sharpening enough green pencils for my picture….
So I truly hope you like my picture since not only I have a blister but also I almost lost my mind trying to dispose everything in squares…. Those tiny, tiny pencils are very difficult to work with … They roll and have a mind of their own !!! The wooden shavings are a bonus and I kept some for future use (I have a very strong feeling that other pictures of pencils are coming !!).

Since it is late, and since my heart is full of gin&tonic (yes, we had a little party with my parents) here is a picture from my archives.
It was a while since we had a wooden tiny pencil and an old book picture and I had to fill that void in my Photostream !!

Today is a green day at Color my World Daily and that is all. I must admit: green day is one of my favorite !! I love the green color very much !
So why not some green pencils in sparkling water…of cours i drank all the water after my photo session… and since I have a very mild hungover (from my yesterday's lemon picture shooting ;-)) I didn’t add any alcohol to it … But even, without alcohol the picture turned out better than I expected ! I love bubbles !

A forest scenario we encountered on a walk during one of our stays in lovely Cumbria. I just adore such old stone dykes which are fully covered in mosses and lichens.

Today is a green day at Color My World Daily. And why not celebrate it with love ? It has been a very, ver long time since we had some new tiny people on this Photostream, so today is the perfect day for that. It is another picture from my archives…
And since Mr. Grey and Miss Green are truly in love it is the perfect couple for this lovely green day. As you can see, they are so in love that they feel like on the top of the world, at the very top of the green love mountain… The only thing that matters for Miss Green is Mr. Grey’s charming smile… and the only thing that matters for Mr.Grey are Miss Green’s… EYES (of course, what else were you thinking about ??? It is a family friendly Photostream !!). So our 2 lovers will spend their beautiful green day looking at each other, on the top of their green mountain… apparently nothing says love like green for these 2….

And? How many are there? I mean the peas, not the ice crystals ;-) We don't want to be petty ... "Counting peas" is a phrase and in English means "to nitpick", that means being petty, stingy or fussy.
The peas are, in the saying, the symbol of the small and of little value. So if you are a bean counter, you dedicate your time to something that is actually not worth it. In any case, here is "everything in the green", another phrase – and that is translated in English: Everything’s rosy in the garden. ;-) And how is it expressed in all the countless languages of the world? Well, then we don't want to be like this (...), to each his own and how he likes it ... I like peas and especially how different they are when you look closely ;-)

Und? Wieviele sind es? Ich meine die Erbsen, nicht die Eiskristalle ;-) Da wollen wir mal nicht kleinlich sein ... "Erbsen zählen" ist eine Redensart und bedeutet im Englischen "to nitpick", also kleinlich, geizig oder pingelig sein.

Today is a blue day at Color My World Daily Group BUT the theme at looking close on Friday is “all green”. Which brings me to this awful choice that no Flickr user should have to face; choosing between 2 groups !!! Of course I love the 2 groups equally : almost like my own children ….
But I had this “all green” picture idea in my system for several days … And you know me, if there is an idea it has to come out before anything else could get done in my life …. So yes, exceptionally we will have 2 green days in a row, this week. It is for the sake of my family life (and so I could do the laundry, cook and cleaning again without thinking about my pictures... I'm soooo looking forward to all of those activities !!! ) Please don’t panic, everything is ok and hopefully will be back to normal next week , with all the usual daily colors …
