I used the Alien Sky app on my iPhone to create a more universal power source from the Milky Way Galaxy.

Two of my pics layered via Juxtaposer app. All the space created (8 layers worth) via Alien Sky app. Final editing and grooming via Snapseed app.

Two images, one by me and the other by Brian Mann via Unsplash app, melded together in Juxtaposer app. Then edited and stretched a bit in Snapseed to tone the earth terrain down and then run through its grundge filter for added effect. All sky elements were obtained in Alien Sky app using 7 layers of effects, doing all positioning and expanding to my desired vision layer by layer then making that crucial decision with that mind of mine that enough is enough, saving it and sending it to Flickr.Oh yeah! It was all done on an iPhone 8.

As always, a photo each day for 365 days. All shot and edited using Apps on my iPhone 5.

The photo was taken using the camera App 645 PRO Mk II for iPhone, saved as a TIFF file before any editing. The original image can be found below.

First of all I used an app called Leonardo to edit the image. This was done by adjusting the Colour Vibrance and Saturation of the image. I then adjusted the Clarity and Brightness. I also boosted the Sharpness and Shadow Detail of the picture. Next I used Alien Sky to edit the image further. This was done by applying the Futuristic filter to the image to darken the whole scene. Next I added the Double Moon to the sky along with the Halo around the Pylon and a light effect called Chromaring to the top. I also added in the lightning hitting the top of the Pylon for added drama. After that I used Mextures to apply some lighting and texture to the picture. The preset that I applied was called Coates by Michael Tucker. Finally I used PhotoToaster to apply a Soft Dark Vignette to the image along with adding the Shadow frame.

The original photo was taken on some waste ground near to the Railway line a few minutes away from where I live. I thought I would have a little fun today making the image feel more dramatic.

The photo was taken using the camera App Huemore for iPhone. The original image can be found below.

First of all I used the app Handy Photo to edit the image. This was done by straightening the image and changing the aspect ratio from landscape to a portrait style using the Magic Crop function. I also used the same app to apply a Glow filter. Next I used the app Alien Sky to some extra effects to the image. This was done by applying the Top Gradient filter to darken the Sky, then adding the Setting Sun to the picture. I then used the app TangledFX to apply a custom preset to the image. Finally I used PhotoToaster to apply the Canvas texture and add the Shadow II frame.

The original photo was taken near to the Cryfield Grange area of Kenilworth. It is an image looking out over the lake. All looks very peaceful on the lake except for the ripples on the water made by one of the Swans.

Looking at this photo noticed that it looked like planet earth above and seeing the stars. The pond looks like clouds. Used Alien sky app for the iPhone.

First of all I used an app called Leonardo to edit the image. This was done by adjusting the Colour Vibrance, Clarity and Brightness. I also boosted the Sharpness and Shadow Detail of the picture. Next I used Mextures to apply some lighting and texture to the picture. The preset that I applied was called Saturated Purple by Neal Dieker. After that I used the app Alien Sky to add the large Moon to the image. I then used Distressed FX to add a few layers of Overlays and Textures to the picture, the First layer was the Overlay called Egret and the Texture called Vanilla. The Second layer I added the Birds to the image with the Overlay Birds - Soulmate and the Texture called Broken. The last layer was the Overlay called Stirred and the Texture called Vanilla (second time using the same texture). Finally I used PhotoToaster to apply the Canvas texture and add the Shadow II frame.

The original photo was taken today in Kenilworth. This is a view of Kenilworth Castle. This time however I have taken the photo from another angle. This is an image taken from the side of the main Carpark of the edge of the Castle. I could not include all of the castle in this image because there is a lot of scaffolding in place on most of this side of the Castle.

First of all I used an app called Leonardo to edit the image. This was done by adjusting the Colour Vibrance, Clarity, Brightness, Hue, Saturation. I also boosted the Sharpness and Shadow Detail of the picture. Next I used the app Alien Sky to apply a filter called Sci-Fi to the image to darken the sky a little. I then used the same app to add a couple of effects to the picture, the first was called Ion Flare and second was the Halo around the Flare. Being able to apply multiple flares and effects in one layer without having to render the image after each effect, is one of the new and really welcome features of the upcoming version of the app that I am lucky enough to be advance testing at the moment. Finally I used the app Laminar to apply a Polarizer FX and the Snap Stack frame to the image.

The original photo was taken today near to the village of Knowle. The image is a view of Knowle Locks. These Locks of which there are Five in the Knowle Lock's complex, form one of the widest points of the northern section of the Grand Union Canal. This is before it reaches the more narrow stretch of the Birmingham area of the Canal system.

First of all I used the app PicsPlay Pro to edit the image. This was done by applying the HDR Sky 1 filter to the picture, followed by applying the Flaming filter to help give a Sunset look to the image. Next I used the app Alien Sky to apply a warm filter and a Flare called Sirius to the image. After that I used Mextures to apply some lighting and textures to the picture. The preset that I applied was called After Glow by Evan Lake. Finally I used the app Laminar to apply a Polarizer FX and the Snap Stack frame to the image.

The original photo was taken late this afternoon in Kenilworth. The view is of the lake in Abbey Fields. Looking over towards Kenilworth Castle (hidden behind the trees).

First of all I used Snapseed to edit the image. This was done by adjusting and boosting the Ambiance, Contrast and Saturation. I then used ShockMyPic to make the image a little more painterly. Next I used the app Alien Sky to some extra effects to the image. This was done by applying the Top Gradient filter to darken the Sky, then adding the Super Moon and Flare to the picture. Finally I used Laminar to apply the Polarizer FX Style and add the Snap Stack frame.

I thought I would have a little fun with the editing of the image today. The original photo was taken on the Glass Bridge near to the Coventry Transport Museum. I was standing about half way along the straight part of it above Lady Herbert's Garden, looking towards the City Centre. With the view of the bridge stretching out in front of me as if to infinity.

The photo was taken using the iPhone camera App Filters!from Formatt Hitech, using the Soft Edge Neutral density filter. The original image can be found below.

First of all I used the app Snapseed to edit the photo. This was done by cropping the image into a square, then adjusting the Ambiance, Contrast and Saturation to the whole image. Next I used the app Alien Sky to add some extra effects to the image. This was done by applying the Vignette filter to darken the Sky a little, then adding the Double Moon and Bright Star flare to the picture. I then used Mextures to apply some lighting and textures to the image. The preset that I applied was called Zombie by Michael Tucker. Finally I used PhotoToaster to apply the Recover Highlights effect and add the Shadow frame.

The original photo was taken on Crackley Lane near to the Westwood Heath area of Coventry. The image is of a field of Golden Corn. It was a really nice rural setting for the picture almost dream like. So I thought I would make the final image a little more surreal.

The photo was taken using the camera App KitCam for iPhone and saved as a TIFF file before any editing. The original image can be found below.

First of all I used Snapseed to crop and edit the photo. The edits were made by sharpening the image and then adding some extra structure. I then applied the first Drama filter to the picture. Next I used an App called Alien Sky to turn the image into a fantasy style by adding a Top Gradient filter to the picture to darken the sky, I also added a Moon to the image as well as adding a Lens Flare to the street light. Finally I used the App Tangled FX with a custom preset to boost the overall image colour and complete the fantasy style while highlighting the aircraft.

The original photo was taken early this evening in Lutterworth, Leicestershire. After visiting my Uncle I saw this A statue of a Gloster E.28/39 in the middle of a roundabout just south of town centre. The aircraft stands as a memorial to Sir Frank Whittle who was the inventor of the jet engine. The Gloster E.28/39 is credited as the UK's first jet aeroplane.

Only Rabbits were allowed Pencils

—it wasn’t because they didn’t mark on the walls but because they tried to write it all down. Notice how many rabbits lead stories? The White Rabbit, Brer Rabbit, the Velveteen Rabbit, Goodnight Moon, Compair Lapin et le Petit Bonhomme Godron, Peter Rabbit, Bunnicula, Pat the Bunny, Miffy and always Harvey.

Processed with Snapseed, Alien Sky and ClassicINSTA.

For the record, that's not actual lightning I captured, I'm not that good. My goal with this shot was to learn a little something about the Alien Sky app and the workflow involved in making such things appear in the final image. Based on reactions I've gotten on various networks, I seem to have gotten it right.

The photo was taken using the camera App ProCamera for iPhone. The original image can be found below.

First of all I used the app Handy Photo to edit the image. This was done by cloning away the overhead wire and the bollards at the side of the pathway. Next I used Mextures to apply some lighting and texture to the picture. The preset that I applied was called Horace by Michael Tucker. After that I used the app Alien Sky to apply a Top Gradient filter to the image to darken the Sky area quite a lot. I then used the same app to add a further three effects to the picture, the first was called Event Horizon (in the Top left corner of the image). The second was called Sirus (the small starburst at the top of the wayside post) and then the final effect was the Double Moons above the Church. Finally I used PhotoToaster to edit the image a little more by applying the Recover Highlights feature and by adding a Vibrant filter. I also used the same app to apply a Soft Dark Vignette and add the Shadow II frame.

The original photo was taken today in the village of Berkswell. The image is a view of the Church of St John the Baptist. I have already posted an image of this Church a couple of months ago. This time however, I thought I would have a little fun today with the image and see what surreal effect I could apply.

The photo was taken using the camera App PureShot for iPhone. The original image can be found below.

First of all I used the app Handy Photo to edit the image. This was done by cloning away the leaf from the ground at the bottom of the Car. I also cropped and resized the image using the same app. Next I used the app Alien Sky to apply a Vignette to the image to darken the area surrounding the car. I then used the same app to light up the Headlights of the car, the effect used was called Chromaring. I used it for both headlights (it also gave the rainbow colour effect on the right side of the image). Finally I used the app Laminar to apply a Polarizer FX and the Snap Stack frame to the image.

The original photo was taken today at the Coventry Festival of Motoring. This two day event is held today and tomorrow at Stoneleigh Park, just outside the village of Stoneleigh. The image is of one of the show cars that we all liked, a fine example of a Mini Cooper. What was fun with this exhibit though is the small scale model of a Mini Cooper in the same style and colour sat of the roof of the show car.
