the boys spend happy at her side ... they do not even come back to her shy smile as a little girl ...

The Alice River in central Queensland, Australia rises on the western slopes of the Great Dividing Range. It has been very dry so the river is a series of waterholes - it needs a good flush. You can see the water marks on the trees from previous flows. The river bisects the Shire of Barcaldine, flowing in a south-westerly direction towards Isisford and its confluence with the Barcoo River to form Cooper Creek. Barcaldine is located on Lagoon Creek, which flows into the Alice River approximately five kilometre s to the south. The Alice River is often dry, except after the annual summer rains.
The Barcoo River forms the boundary of outback Australia with little in the way of civilization west of the Barcoo. Waters from the Barcoo and Alice Rivers flow towards Lake Eyre in Central Australia, while rivers further east join the Murray-Darling basin and reach the sea in South Australia. In 1846, Thomas Mitchell became the first European to see the Barcoo and Alice Rivers. The Alice River was named by Mitchell and Mitchell's name was adopted for the pastoral district and for its grass, Mitchell grass. (Source: Wikipedia)

Alice poses yesterday... when she was a different person... and ... all mimsey were the borogoves... Starting model compliments of Hidden Vintage Studios @ Mischief Circus... T'was brillig, and the slithy toves did gyre and gimble in the wabe... Layers, textures and paint effects applied in Photoshop.
Ignoring the white rabbit, Alice took a different turn and followed the pink bear instead. She ended up in a Rydenesque Tea Party eating Yams.
We're all mad here!

Alice got immersed in a strange world after following the white rabbit in a hurry and falling through a never-ending tunnel. In her initiatory journey, she got confronted to several difficult choices.
Upon eating a cake that carried the tag "Eat me", she grew out of proportions, bigger than the house she was in. Later, she got offered drinking up a potion from a bottle that carried the tag "Drink me". That helped her shrink down to a normal size again.
What would have happened, had she encountered a beautiful rose enclosed in a bottle carrying the tag "Smell me"?...
"Alice" was seen much closer to "Al" - near the Madagascer Spiny Forest.

Alice Chess is a chess variant invented in 1953 by V. R. Parton which employs two chessboards. The game is named after the main character "Alice" in Lewis Carroll's work "Through the Looking-Glass", where transport through the mirror into an alternate world is portrayed on the chessboards by the after-move transfer of chess pieces between boards.
This simple transfer rule is well known for causing disorientation, often leading to surprises and amusing mistakes as pieces "disappear" and "reappear" between boards.
AliCè: Alice Pasquini, principally a visual artist, works as an illustrator, set designer and painter.
Based in Rome, she has lived and worked in U.K., France and Spain.
AliCè has travelled the world bringing her art to the streets of many countries.
She has collaborated on illustration, graphic and design projects, including the graphic novel "Vertigine ed Rizzoli"
Back home in Rome AliCè is exhibiting in several Italian galleries.
One year ago I received an email from a small town in Molise asking if I would be interested in coming to paint. As it turns out, it was my grandfather's hometown - Civitacampomarano (CB), which they didn't realize when they'd written.
This past weekend I made my way to my grandfather’s town to paint a series of works, many based on vintage photographs from the town. Down to only 400 inhabitants, I decided to paint my work primarily on old doors, speaking about what was once there and what has not been abandoned, as many homes are now empty. For instance, we photographed Mario in front of a work inspired by him and his friends playing games together. Today there are only a handful of children left in the town. They attend school nearby, as Civita’s schools have long since closed. One of the children from town, Robertina, helped as my assistant, using her hands to play “hide and go seek” just as the wall does. I also met Zio Nicola, my grandfather’s next door neighbor, who offered us strawberries and helped identify some of the people in the photographs.
Thank you to Ylenia and Associazione Pro Loco for writing me last year and bringing me back to my roots. Thank you as well to Barbara, Luciana, and Mayor Paolo Manuele for the help and hospitality. I will be back soon…..
