100 MB XML files = choke my computer.
note the line count: > 6 million.
I used to find more of my photos using Scout but realized that when I changed the posted date, Explore and Interestingness go out the window, I needed a fresh start anyway

Do Algorithms Care? is a collaboration between artist Amanda Bennetts and data scientist Johanna Einsiedler. The project, realized in an interactive installation that resembles a pristine tech store, offers a critical perspective on the commercialization of personal bio data harvested by devices such as smartwatches and in healthcare industries. Through the use of the duo’s DIY smartwatches and interactive data interface, they delve into the predictive potential of personal data and machine learning for well-being, inviting viewers to reconsider their relationship with data control and privacy.

The Cambridge site was the last and included space in the Cambridge Art Council's gallery. For the installation here all of the gleaned materials from the Bellows Falls and New Haven installations were hung on the wall and visitors were encouraged to take whatever they wished. The driftwood table went fast and by the end everything, including a full size oven went home with someone.

Chromatic Algorithms: Synthetic Color, Computer Art, and Aesthetics after Code
These days, we take for granted that our computer screensand even our phoneswill show us images in vibrant full color. Digital color is a fundamental part of how we use our devices, but we never give a thought t...

Are the algorithms of living matter also useful for digital arts? Could they for instance be used in live visual performances? And how? Mediamatic and the Live Performers Meeting invite you for this nerd Biotalk with Federico Corradi, Gianluca Del Gobbo and Timo Dufner. They will give us a glimpse of the potential of nature’s algorithms for digital art and illustrate this with a live audio visual experimental act.
